Cmoybb question about: CB_R, and CB_L and using alternative capacitors
Quote: I am checking with the BOM for the CMOYBB and it specifically calls for C3+, C3-, C4+, C4- 0.1uF, 50V Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor for the above. Kind of strange why they are asking for ceramic after understanding the inherent problems with them. Thanks.- THESANTINI

Looking to build my first cmoy
Sorry to bump an old thread. This seems like as good a place as any to ask a question concerning parts for the CMOY build. I'm going to build 4-5 of these CMOYs for friends. My concern is what parts should I be purchasing extra assuming I break/fry/etc? I don't want to pay to have different...- THESANTINI

DIY: Portable Headphone amp or multimedia amp
My first foray into audio electronics will serve as an introduction to the basics of circuits, soldering and the like that is inherent in producing an amp. My gear all require amps and later improved DACs. Currently, I have Swan Diva M200s (multimedia speakers) that were purchased in 2002. They...- THESANTINI

New CORDA AMPS!
I just received my Corda Arietta amp today. I'm having issues with sounds; more sound is being channeled to the left channel then right. Initially I was able to remedy this by turning up the "play control" in Windows through the "play control." I am not sure where to start and did not want to...- THESANTINI

Time to purchase a 2.0 speaker + amp setup (long)
A few years ago I had purchased Logitech z-640s. I some how stumbled across glueycwal who posts here and sharkyforums (audio). Before I knew it I gave my z-640s to my room mate in college and purchase Swan Diva M200s. An amazing purchase. Currently, I'd like to purchase floorstanding...- THESANTINI

Chaintech AV-710 v. SB Audigy
I just began re-visiting this forum as I'm interested in purchasing a pair of cans. Not much has changed, what was good two-three years ago is still good. Reassuring, when making these so called 'investments' in depreciating assets -- which one may even consider a liability. Regardless, one...- THESANTINI

CD Player vs iPod
the obvious answer is yes. here's why:: IPod's are mass marketed, they are effective mp3 players, but mp3 sound quality is usually limited. additional constraints are the stock earbuds which aren't that great or comfortable for that matter. $150 can buy a very good cd player- THESANTINI
