Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

Noble has been on a roll lately! Just auditioned the Katana today, I'm floored by how musical it is while being very clear and detailed at the same time. Absolutely masterful tuning.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

The Vega sounds like it'll be interesting; specifically designed dynamic driver, might compliment rather than overshadow the Andromedas considering the warmer tonality that Jude described. I'm honestly just glad Campfire isn't choosing to price their IEMs at stratospheric prices.

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

It will most likely need to be replaced with a new pair at a fee (though a reasonable one from my experience).

Loving the slogans you've got on the posters

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

$3000? That's veering into Shure KSE1500 territory. While I'm sure they sound good, the price is a little hard to swallow.

These new models sound very intriguing. Looking forward to impressions and comparisons.

The finish and colour are absolutely exquisite. Looking good, Jack

Looking forward to the ADEL Zeus; sounds like it might be a true TOTL model, and with a switchable sound to boot! Thanks to Jack for the updates, though they are really fuelling the anticipation...

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I have always had a hard time fitting the blues onto Noble IEMs; they're just too narrow for the nozzle size.

U8 has the most bass response, might be more fitting for drums

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

How are the mids/treble extension? One of the few things I'd like for the K10 to be improved on is the treble rolloff at the high end and perceived peak. I'm also curious as to how the mids are presented, since the K10 uses a slight upper mid lift for more musicality and microdetails.

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

IMO I don't believe the ADEL line requires any external amplification, and a phone is usually sufficient for mobile use. Upgrading to a sub-$100 DAC/amp combo probably won't make a significant difference in the sound. However, if you do want to get one, keep in mind that the E12A is a...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I believe there isn't really a significant change besides the modules (not accounting for shell changes related to module compatibility). Since we have limited information on comparisons between ADEL and APEX, it's too early to make a judgement on their efficacy relative to each other.

I've ordered from them in the past, the duties are minimal at most.

Your K10s look gorgeous. Were they a Wizard design?

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

I've only heard the K10, but judging from what I've heard I think it has the best tuning out of the 3 for pop music; Katana's neutrality and more emphasised treble might not play as well with it. K10 has the most bass, and is also quite musical.

Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

That's interesting, I remember the Dragonfly 1.2 nearly blowing my ears out at minimum volume when I tried to use it with a similarly sensitive IEM. I guess Audioquest have made some improvements with the new generation.

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Just wondering, how do people usually remove their ADEL modules from the IEM? I'm having quite a bit of difficulty prying mine out (by hand, anyway).

I saw that you reviewed the Andromedas, which performed favourably even against more expensive IEMs; how would you compare them to the Zeus?

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

I'm seriously considering getting the MAMs, but I'm also paranoid about breaking my current pair of U12s and then losing backwards compatibility. I'll probably need to buy IEMs made of diamond to completely reassure my clumsy self...

For all universals the serial number is simply engraved. Customs may have numbers in different colours.

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

The Noble 6's defining characteristics, IMO, are its thick midrange and bass presence. It's a fun sounding IEM, but its soundstage falls short somewhat. Treble extension was also not quite enough for my taste, but it's still good for an IEM of its price range. The K10 offers a more accurate...

    1964 Ears Adel IEMs

Just started listening to my U12, they do offer an airy presentation with good treble presence and controlled bass. I'm using the Noble blue tips.

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!

My very early impression is that the U12s are much airier than the K10. Interestingly, their bass presentations seem rather similar. Treble extension is a bit better, mids are less forward.
