Thanks for the review. I ordered my G1's earlier today so happy to see your review was positive! Looking forward to comparing them to my other modules (S1, B1, MAMs).

From the descriptions the U4-SE is described as a fairly balanced and neutral sounding IEM very much like the U5 is described. I would be interested to hear from 64audio how these two compare as they are both priced the same on the summer sale.

The U6 should be a much fuller sound with deeper bass than either above based on the descriptions and eq profiles on the 64audio site. In fact the sound profile should be similar to the U3s while the two above should sound more balanced with less bass and more treble.

Do you think the new APEX module is really an improvement of the ADEL ones, or each one is just different?

On the other hand, what are the differences between the old (ADEL) and the new (APEX) IEM, apart from the modules? Different drivers? Different shell? Different cable?

I believe there isn't really a significant change besides the modules (not accounting for shell changes related to module compatibility).
Since we have limited information on comparisons between ADEL and APEX, it's too early to make a judgement on their efficacy relative to each other.

I would not know if APEX is an improvement over ADEL. The crux of the concept is still about absorbing pneumatic pressure but differences in the type of material used in the membrane may or may not matter until there are detailed measurements.
 
As to how come APEX and ADEL modules can be used in previous generation A-series and U-series but only APEX can be used in current productions, I been wondering why myself. It just does not make sense that previous generation productions have such *forward* compatibility. Not that I mind.

I would think since all these are with the ADEL technology it will be done when their inventory is exhausted.

I think that's correct. Some models and styles are already sold out. The U3 is no longer listed and they used to have some models available in red and those are all gone.

I'll be receiving the new Apex module soon.  I'll post impressions with my U12's, as well as comparisons to the Adel S-1 , B-1 and MAM...

I have bought the U12 ADEL of the Summer Clearance Sale promotion and they come with the S1.
