1964 Ears Adel IEMs

After much fiddling and listening, I now completely agree with Ike1985's assessment of fully open, screwed-in MAMs. In fact, I believe this is my sweet-spot. Extremely open and airy, but the tight membrane still allows plenty of bass oomph. Having them fully open has the added benefit of not having to find and keep a sweet spot somewhere in the middle; I know I'd be constantly checking that I hadn't accidentally knocked them out of position.

Now, let's see how these two compare...

Great. Looking forward to your impressions..

I am surprised no one has mentioned the announcement of the "tia" during the fourth quarter:

My reviews of the exceptional MAM and "Black Beauty" B1 are up:

@Canyon Runner
I didn't see a page for the G1 module, you may want to make one as I'm sure people will be getting their hands on them soon.

Thanks for the very helpful review. I'm glad youre enjoying them. It gives me a great tutorial on how to set mine up when they arrive. Being in México means having lots of patience awaiting their arrival by the Mexican post.

@Canyon Runner Any news on when we can see Adel tech with other manufacturers?

We will be making an announcement very soon.

We actually have a number of announcements in the pipe.

And I just got out a bunch of orders into the mail this afternoon, I have a couple more to get to in the morning and then we'll be 100% caught up.

I just wanted to say thank you to everybody for the support in the last week.

This review of the MAMs sums up my experience perfectly!

I just got the U12's with the standard Adel S1 this evening.  I plugged them in and immediately was struck by how congested they sounded. You could hear the potential of the highs with acoustic music but once I played something heavy, frankly it was awful.   I had been looking forward to the U12's after living with the U6's for a month (which I love).  I immediately understood the bad reviews after 4 minutes of auditioning . Also, my right ear is very sensitive to pressure and it was starting to hurt.  I was extremely unhappy.  I unpacked my 6's and thought, I am keeping these they sound much better. A half hour later while I sat sulking, my doorman buzzed up and said I had a small package. It was the MAM's.  I quickly installed them and set it to the middle range.  The MAMS completely transformed the sound and I do not  feel the pressure nor pain of the overwhelming bass.  The congestion is completely gone.  The MAMS transform these IEMS... they now sparkle, still have great bass but it is not overwhelming nor boomy.  The sound stage opened.  Sounds were no longer stuffed in between my ears as it spread out well beyond the boundaries of my head. I could go on and on..

Anyone who owns the 12's without the MAMS is really missing out on their potential.  It's like driving a well tuned sports car with a 600 horse power engine and the tires are almost flat.  You are just not getting the performance you paid for...

Buy the MAM'S !!!

I'm seriously considering getting the MAMs, but I'm also paranoid about breaking my current pair of U12s and then losing backwards compatibility. I'll probably need to buy IEMs made of diamond to completely reassure my clumsy self...

That's the saddest news I've heard all week. Hope you find a good replacement.

By the way guys, have you seen this?

I read that entire thread this weekend. That would be exciting news as it may mean there is another solution on the horizon that would allow us to use the modules we have invested in going forward.

Hope it doesn't involve me getting the Zeus lol
