Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
@21qz, good question. These both have that super convenient 'big knob' design so it would be nice to know how they compare under the hood. it looks like you now have both devices, so I'm wondering if you find them more similar than different? One thing I've found helpful is extended listening...- flatmap

Classical music / opera headphones suggestions please
Well, I'm not sure I have much to offer in your search. You're already listening to headphones I might move to in the future! Also I think your hearing may be better than mine. :) But I'm keen on the same classical and operatic genres that you like and for years I've been using the Sennheiser...- flatmap

Managing playlists and applying updates would be the main things I think. And when you create playlists it is very very nice to have a library viewer to navigate and sort.- flatmap

iPhone 7 iOS 10.2 - Bluetooth failure
Sometimes, and its not uncommon, you need to remove your bluetooth device from the list and then pair it again. On IOS 10.2 you do that via Settings -> Bluetooth and then click on the "i" next to the paired device and then click on "Forget this device." No doubt you've done this already with...- flatmap

I have the same experience with occasional drops, skids, and such. I use mine pretty much every day. The screen is still unmarred, clear, and functional. The body is a bit scuffed however and having a case would be an improvement.- flatmap

Where To Download Lossless Music
There's no DRM or any other restriction on music you buy from the Pono store. You can use it on any device... So far as I know, Apple hasn't had DRM on its AAC 256 music for years. So you should be good either way. -

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Just for perspective, I have an iPhone 5 which (can't quite remember) is about 2.5 to 3 years old. When the camera stopped working, I took it in and they said they no longer carry replacement parts. So even though Apple has all the financial strength you could want, it doesn't mean that your...- flatmap
