I don't know what thread to post this but since the receiver of my chain is my liquid carbon I will just post here. I would just like to ask if anyone here knows if this is possible? Unbalanced R/L RCA from Hugo to R/L xlr balanced input of the LC. I used a RCA to XLR cable. Will it...- adobotj

Thanks for the reassurance. So you mean to say that the characteristic hiss that I'm talking about (very audible hiss that appear after a few minutes of turning the unit on and then disappears after a few more minutes while playing music) using layla and angie is just a normal occurrence? If...- adobotj

Further testing and observation revealed: (seems like a delayed start-up hiss) TLDR; I might have a defective unit 1. Hiss is only temporary IF its not connected to a power source . 2. At full battery (blue), Hiss will show at about 3 minute mark upon starting up and playing some music and...- adobotj

There's a very faint hiss or maybe this is the noise floor I'm hearing that is continuous AND then there's this very audible hiss as I've described earlier that shows itself and then disappear after a few minutes and sometimes it stays that loud. No hiss with dynamic or planers only with my...- adobotj

Recently purchased a bnew hugo for a discounted price .Using both angie and layla I can hear a very audible, somewhat loud hiss right about 2-4min of listening from hugo using optical from a&k100ii. Most of the time after another 2-4 minutes the hissing disappears but sometimes it doesn't. Tried...- adobotj

Starting Point Systems portable NOS DAC
That one I'm not sure as my unit is always plugged in and will not overcharge when it reaches maximum voltage (full charge). Haven't got a chance to just charge the unit. Will try it out.- adobotj

Starting Point Systems portable NOS DAC
That's right. Turn on mains and turn battery off. That will charge the battery. Edit: and everytime you use the dac (mains and battery on) it will slow charge the battery. P.s. Turning the battery on while plugged in (mains on) will buffer the current and make the signal from the dac...- adobotj

When you say go to settings and streaming you mean inside the spotify app? Edit: oh, I got it. It's on the box control app. It's not finding my Ak even though my Ak connect is on already. I can control and stream music from my phone to Ak via ak connect but I can't find the AK on the box...- adobotj

Rhapsodio - An overlooked brand of nice IEMs
+1 ^^^^ Not only our brain and the fit but also in getting to know the different characteristics of our iem/ciem. For this past 3 weeks that I've been listening (constantly) to the RTi2, I was learning a lot of things about its character and also my ears and preferences. I assume that most...- adobotj

Are the bores on the jvc sd as wide as the wind tips? I like the wide bore on the wind tips as it provides me with the widest and largest soundstage, plus the treble sounds perfect on these. Just takes time to fit it properly though as I have a weird left ear canal angle. Thanks in advance...- adobotj

Tinnitus
I'm sorry to hear you had negative experiences with doctors there. In reality, those experiences are THE minority and THE exception rather than the rule. How many physicians have you consulted/encountered to say that they are the majority? 1,000? 2,000? I doubt you even reached a 100 of them...- adobotj

Just eat healthy balanced diet and take a good and complete multivitamins and you're good. Also think of other factors in you overall health such as stress, sleep, etc. And regarding the 'evidences', not everything you see in NIH (or the Web for that matter) are absolute truths. Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon Owners Impressions
I'm not sure if this is accurate but, I think the reason why the 1x gain has more 'space' or 'soundstage' or 'weightlessness' is because the 1x gain provides a more black-er background creating more space between instruments and wider soundstage. I also share similar experience with you guys...- adobotj

What i did was: 1. Connect Ipod to se input of LC. 2. Play music (whole album on loop). 3. Turn on LC (on no gain and at 11 o'clock volume position). 4. Placed a fan directed to it to prevent overheating. 5. Check on it from time to time until 150th hour. Every time i get home, I...- adobotj
