Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
I can report my nexus 5 works with the HRT microstreamer finally flowless since the Andoid 5.0 update, volume control of the phone is also working as expected... (it was on and off before and I had popping sound after 5 minutes of play on the CM rom)- uzi74

Android phones and USB DACs
Thanks a lot for the confirmation, so there is hope for good quality audio on the nexus 5. USB audio player is working fine on my Nexus5, but I mainly use google play music (all access) or spotify - is there a way to change the standard android buffer size as well?- uzi74

Android phones and USB DACs
I'm using my nexus 5 with the HRT microstreamer (with CM11 nighlty builds - updating regularly). I got the issue with constant clicking after 5-6 minutes of listening (I assume it is buffering issue effecting asynchrous USB devices). Is the C5D free of this issue? (I've tried my nexus 5 with a...- uzi74

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
The problem seems to be solved on my nexus 5 finally - the clicks and pops are almost completely gone. I've been trying all CM nightlies for a long time, the one from yesterday seems working (CM-11-20140209)!! I hear a sole pop very seldom and it is not repetitive like before - like listening to...- uzi74

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
According to Steve Kondik CM11 has power management issues with phones equipped with the msm8974 chipest (like the nexus 5 and S4): https://plus.google.com/+SteveKondik/posts/3cw2DWbbM1p Hopefully they are going to figure out soon what is wrong. So far the only solution is to pause the song...- uzi74

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
I've tried with the firwmare 1.3 and 1.2(NAS) as well, the problem is not gone. I've received feedback from the CM team (Steve Klondik) in the meantime. It is probably a CM11 power management related issue happening on the msm8974 chip.- uzi74

Sonic Satori - HRT Levels the Field with the MicroStreamer
Is anyone using the microstreamer on an android phone with cyanogenmod 11 kernel (not playing via UAPP or UARP, but google music or spotify)? I have issues with clicking sounds after 4-5 minutes of listening. This is not happening using a Fiio E07k, just with the HRT. I've tried playing with the...- uzi74

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
My IE80s are connected to a HRT microstreamer - in case I connect the HRT to my nexus 5 (uning CM11 kernel) I loose the volume control functionality. Could you please recommend a replacement cable or a (short) extension cable with volume control knob which pairs nice with the IE80 and not...- uzi74

Android phones and USB DACs
I've one question regarding UAPP: -Step 1: I'm using CM11 latest build, when I connect my DAC the sound is working through it just fine -Step 2: I start UAPP, it is also working fine -Step 3: after I finish using UAPP, system sounds are still routed through the speaker - I have to disconnect...- uzi74

HRT support helped me to fix this issue via changing some feedback resolution settings. (thumbs up for the excellent and prompt support)- uzi74

Android phones and USB DACs
Unfortunately there are problems with the HRT Microstreamer via CM11 - the playback starts clicking after 5-6 minutes (if I pause it, it will run again fine for a few minutes - looks like a buffering problem). This is not happening via UAPP, just when I'm using the standard CM11 USB audio driver...- uzi74

I'm also looking for such a cable, but I'm unable to find one in Europe I've seen a correct one posted by someone earlier: "0.5m USB OTG Cable - Black, Type Micro- B to Mini-B" (Lindy P/N: 31717) I think it is this...- uzi74

I would not bet on that cable, it is not an OTG one. The one and only reviewer has been missing the OTG (host) functionality as well.- uzi74

Android phones and USB DACs
I can confirm the HRT microstreamer is working on my Nexus 5 with CM 11 Build 23.12.2013 - but the volume control is not working at all - it is at max or off if I toggle the volume button. Is there a solution for this behaviour? (I'm planning to use spotify and google music - I don't find any...- uzi74

FiiO E18 Review
I'm considering getting the Fiio E18 or the HRT microstreamer for portable/android use. The Fiio E18 has a lot more features, that's clear. Would you expect the sound quality being similar on those 2 devices? (I own a E07k)- uzi74
