I posted something similar a few pages back. From what the replies say, JH is moving towards tuneable bass for all its models.

There was a point in time when I thought these could be my Christmas gift to myself.. Ended up arriving only in March :/

A quick look at JHA's FB page and I see JH16s that comes with cables that have bass ports (Along with the screwdriver). Does it mean that JH16 can now have their bass adjusted? Isn't that supposed to be one of the main selling points of Roxanne?

Another thing to note: it's a huge hassle getting customs. Impressions and sending in, waiting for them to be made can be quite taxing on those who can't wait. And it is no guarantee that the IEMs will fit the first time which might mean refits.

No. Only the bass frequencies can be adjusted. That's why it's a bass pot not a frequency pot...

I think it might be the material of the ear plugs. For acrylic it is so much easier. My customs take under 5 seconds to put it in or take it out.

I wouldn't say it is dark, but if you were to jump straight from maybe say a JH16, you may find the highs a little laid back. IMO I think most people prefer brighter sounding IEMs because it gives a sense of clarity. The Roxannes are definitely not bright though, so if you're looking for a...

Shouldn't you at least try them on for a few days to see if the fit issue goes away? Perhaps your ears might still need to adjust to it.

There might be a chance that the S4i is going to be discontinued. Klipsch are coming out with a new model, R6, which is around the same price point as S4i

I do have them and at the max bass, the Roxannes do pack a punch.

He's looking for more mainstream earphones, JH is probably out of his budget.

I have the S4. For me, I find them to be strong on the low end, but the bass is a little too muddy for my liking. I strongly recommend you to try out the earphones before you get them though as sound is rather subjective, strong bass for someone might not be for another.

Since you want more mainstream earphones, you can try Klipsch S4. They do have enhanced bass, but whether or not they tickle your ears you'll probably have to try them out yourself.
