A little Pono Anecdote
I thought I would share a Pono listening experience that happened at home. Our living room is an L shaped open area that includes a dinning area and a kitchen off to the side, so when standing in the kitchen we can listen to the stereo, but both speakers are well off axis. I was playing a...- cstory

The Pono Player Impressions Thread
Glad to see I'm not the only one with "antique" HD-580's. Which balanced cable are you using? Love the Pono BTW. Chuck- cstory

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Nice to find someone else that finds them more comfortable backwards. I'll be curious to see what you come up with for reversing the channels.- cstory

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
Another new owner here. Ordered Monday from Amazon at $70 and got them yesterday. Can't beat that. Anyway, what follows is sort of a stream of consience first impressions. For reference, my main stereo has Martin Logan Vista's with two SVS ultra subs. Headphones on hand for comparison are...- cstory

Centrance's MixerFace
I also would be interested in using this unit for my binaural recordings. I use the Core Sounds Binaural microphones and a Zoom H2 so the 1/8 inch 12v input would really entice me to be interested in this unit as well.- cstory

Light Harmonic GEEK
I signed up yesterday so I am looking forward to this product. If it can sound better than the Meridian and decode DSD, it would definitely be a winner. Although the GEEK is cheap, it will be quite expensive for me because I will want to get a dedicated computer as my music server and a good A-D...- cstory

Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600
I finally got some tips that work with my RE-400's. I ordered the Comply 400 Tsx in large, and they are just barely large enough to fill my ear canal, but they do allow me to get enough of a seal that I can finally hear the RE-400's sound as they should (I think). BTW, my box did not have the...- cstory

Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600
Thanks to everyone who replied to my post. It appeared to hang up on my computer when I submitted it, so I didn't think it actually got sent. I didn't bother to check for responses. I tried all the tips that came with the RE-400's and all of them sounded bad. I do use the largest foam tips...- cstory

Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600
Hi everyone, New member to the group here, but I had done a lot of reading of the forums before joinin up. I have a pair of 10 year old Etymotic ER-6 IEMs with the yellow foam tips that I use, and I figured that the technology had improved to the point where I should replace the ER-6's. Not that...- cstory

New Member from NE Ohio
Hi Everyone, I've been a reader of the forums for a while and finally decided to sign up. Headphone wise, I don't listen a lot at home, but I do listen a fair amount at work (cubicle office area) and when I travel. I use either Grado SR-60's or Ultrasone Pro-650's in the office. For sources at...- cstory
