Questions about canjam.
Let's say I was a new startup audio company that sells ultra high end amplifiers, dacs, and headphones. As a new audio company, how bad of an idea would it be to miss this upcoming canjam in NY and why? Assuming I could not make the next few canjams. What are the benefits to an exhibitor...- coinmaster

How to search for engineers?
I've spent the last couple of years designing amplifiers in search of the perfect sound. A culmination of my R&D has recently lead me to achieving my goal to a degree I never expected. I won't make any verbal claims about the sound because we all know (or should know) that 99.999999% of...- coinmaster

Anyone know anything about DAC design?
After almost 2 years of amp design I'll soon have my "ultimate" design up and running and I want to integrate a dac into the design at an offset of anywhere between -30v to -160v meaning it must be floating and also meaning I must design it myself or at least have a sufficient understanding to...- coinmaster

Martin logan electrostatic speaker question
I've almost reached the summit of what I can do with headphones. After hearing a low-fi speaker system at someones house I realized that a high end speaker set-up could potentially make it sound like the band is in the room with you. I hear electrostats do this best, along with everything...- coinmaster

Anyone in CT have a pair of XLR terminated TH900s?
I'm in the middle of doing a massive component upgrade to my MKVI+ amp. When it's done it won't even be recognizable. Decoupling cap voltage, is there a limit?
Hi, I'm wondering if there is a point where voltage on a power decoupling cap is too much? Is there a negative effect on using a decoupling cap at 1.1kv rather than 500v? Other than size.- coinmaster

Did I do something wrong or does the HD800 stock cable sound worse?
So I made a custom balanced cable for my hd800 from canare cable and I didn't fasten the solder joint in the headphone connectors with something so the wires were basically hanging on by the solder. I tried to be careful with it but the solder eventually snapped in one ear and after a few...- coinmaster

Heelo. I've been considering making my own amp for a while now. I have a basic understanding (more or less) of what the different components do individually.
