Hi, I'm wondering if there is a point where voltage on a power decoupling cap is too much? Is there a negative effect on using a decoupling cap at 1.1kv rather than 500v? Other than size.
If that is the ONLY criteria that is being considered then no.
And 'usually' a higher voltage rated cap will perform better, simply because it is not being run as close to it's design limits.
There are, of course, other factors which can and do overide this single choice.
