Haven't had the chance to try out different isolation combinations, hadn't thought about them interfering with each other. I'll have to get around to tweaking the system when I get a little more spare time between work. Might have to give Roon Bridge a go when I find it.

Might be thinking of iSquirrels system, pretty similar setups.

Pictures Of Your High End System II (Same Rules Apply)

Hahahaha, I'd be too worried about damaging the equipment doing deadlifts. Dropping 200kg a couple of times next to tubes, your a braver man than I

Got the Tak 274b's and 300b's with Siemens C3G's in the pic. The C3G's are fast transparent tubes, nice for analytical listening, but a little thin for my usual listening. Though I've still got to get around to playing around with different tube and output mode combinations to get the most from...

Pictures Of Your High End System II (Same Rules Apply)

Hahaha, well it's not quite the same DAC, but I've been thinking about selling my LH Davinci if you're keen :P Regarding the Roxanne's, they stay in really well, don't budge. They stay in better than my Shure Se535's and are infinitely more comfortable. They also do an excellent job at blocking...

A lot of changes and additions to the system since I last posted as well as re arranging the room entirely, got rid of the bed to another room and replaced it with a sofa bed... think my priorities are slightly skewed.                   Think that'll be it for the next...

Pictures Of Your High End System II (Same Rules Apply)

Been a while since there have been pics posted in this thread. But I think I'm finally eligible to post here                  And then a photo of my portable/gym rig.     Enjoy

    Woo Audio Amp Owner Unite

To be honest, owning the 234's and having spent that money on them, I'm actually happy that Jack is still looking at ways to improve and upgrade them in terms of sound quality. It means that the company, and industry, are still progressing rather than stagnating. Also with flagship products...

    MSB Analog DAC? (Review p3)

Thought I'd put in my 2 cents regarding the Select II DAC, I had the opportunity to listen to the system that Simon had assembled for a couple of minutes. Having previously heard it at the local distributors in a speaker system and then having the chance to hear it in a more familiar headphone...

I've always trusted my ears over price tags, reviews and word of mouth. Makes it nice and simple, if I like it I like it. But I can say to my ears; power conditioning and cables have made a big improvement, only behind different USB cables. Also I'll leave this here for a bit of extra reading...

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread

Hahaha, I wish that were the case! Unfortunately I may have to be taking a brief exit from the HiFi scene, I've brought a block of land and need to raise funds for a deposit on the new build as well as to do renovations on my current house to prepare it for rental. Though I'm currently...

    MSB Analog DAC? (Review p3)

Seeing the implementation benefits of I2S I'd be tipping for the Signature PROI2S Transport, especially seeing as it's also by MSB and hopefully voiced to suit. Though the Network Renderer that they're currently working on seems promising as well, especially with it working in with Roon.

REVIEW: Comparison of 5 High End Digital Music Servers - Aurender N10, CAD CAT server, TotalDac d1-Server, Auralic Aries, Audiophile Vortex Box

Received my CAT server a couple weeks ago, been running it in 24/7 since then. I can say it's a big improvement over the Antipodes DS and even the DX which I had fully outfitted with HRS Nimbus Couplers and Damping Plates as well as Synergistic Research Red Fuses. So much more finesse and...

Had the chance to listen to the Viva Egoista with the Abyss headphones, did a brief write up of the sound compared to the 234's in the Abyss thread which you all might like. Here's the link:   http://www.head-fi.org/t/666765/the-jps-labs-abyss-ab-1266-impressions-thread/3465#post_12158256

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread

I had the chance to listen to the Abyss and Viva Egoista combination a couple of weeks ago. Being a WA234 owner and hearing the Viva may be rather close competition for it I was very keen to finally have a chance to listen and went in expecting great things. I can now sleep soundly with my...

    New Nagra HD DAC

So I had the chance to listen to the new MSB Select DAC and did a write up on my findings. Thought it might be appreciated here, with all the high end DAC's being discussed, so here's the link. http://www.head-fi.org/t/613387/msb-analog-dac-review-p3/450#post_12158199   Also for those who are...

    MSB Analog DAC? (Review p3)

I had the chance hear the MSB Select DAC at a local distributors place a couple of weeks back, I've finally gotten the time to write up my listening experiences now and this seemed like the perfect place.     The system I heard it in consisted of my laptop running J River as the source...

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread

At that level it's more down to personal preference than having an absolute best. But I'd say at the top of my list are the davinci, CAD and kalliope. Still yet to hear the nagra DAC. Also I wouldn't rule out silver, it's more down to implementation. The DHC cables are actually fuller in...

The JPS Labs: Abyss AB-1266 Impressions Thread

I'd disagree to an extent on this one, I'd say well over 50% of the sound is from the DAC. It and the source is where it all starts, going from the WA5 to the 234 wasn't as much of a changes as upgrading from the Vega. One of the first things I noticed with the new DAC was an increase in bass...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

So far I've found the Hugo to be a tad too thin and analytical as well as being on the bright side for my tastes. It does impart a fair amount of its signature on headphones which is probably what you heard through the 3F. For gaming it's a tough one, the HD800 have the widest soundstage, the...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

I've really got to get around to watching the big sound videos, so far the amps on my list to listen to still are the 430HA, the Viva Egoista and the BHSE. The notable amps I've owned are the WA234, WA5 GS-X MK2 and ALO MK3b. I've also had the chance to listen to the LAu, Prautes, Rag, P700u...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

I think the output type of the Hugo could've attributed partially. It doesn't have a amplifier section, rather the DAC section has enough gain to drive headphones. I could be entirely wrong about the next part, but I was under the impression that the DAC gain stage is in the voltage domain so...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

For sheer slam it's hard to go pass a well fitted pair of abyss from a sufficient amp. They emphasise the presence region of the bass wonderfully, though it does impart this quality on everything and doesn't extend as low as the HEK which is what, among other things, swayed me over. But I do...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

A very comprehensive review, would've been absolutely surreal listening now in a setting like that. Looks stunning from the photos. In regards to the recessed treble with the HEK; did you get the chance to try them out with any other amplifiers? While I haven't found them to be particularly...
