First things first, burn these cans in for at least 50 hours (preferrably 100-200) for them to reach their full potential. The HD 595's really sounded like a whole different headphone after significant burn-in.

Around here the Audigy 2 ZS is considered a subpar source, while the X-Fi is at least considered decent by some. If quality sound is important, go for the X-Fi.

You could always conver the WMA's into ALAC's in iTunes. May take a while, but it'll work.

What issues are speaking of? The only "issue" I'm aware of is a slight hiss when using extremely sensitive headphones (almost always IEMs) and this can easily be fixed with the use of a volume attenuator.

I take it you didn't even burn these in?

Does anyone know which tips provide the best isolation? I would assume it's the Comply's but has anyone found differently?

I'm listening to mine right now. They truly are excellent IEMs for the money.

Well, due to the fact I'm constantly looking at different cans here and there, I came across the Sony MDR-F1. So far, all I've been able to gather about these cans is that they're supremely comfortable. My question is: how do they sound?

Are you sure you're getting a good seal? Canalphones will sound horrible if you don't get a good seal.
