Ive finally decided I will get the a500, Im a gamer, was wondering if the cost of the X-Fi is worth it if What I care about is positioning. I don't even care if sound quality is better(which I hope it is) But from what I've researched it looks like the x-fi has some kind of a headphone mode or a surround sound type feature that makes positioning even better? Thanks for the input...

$75 for audigy 2 zs or $115 for the x-fi

Does anyone know of a website that talks about soundcards with the calibur or at least the attempt to be anywhere remotely as informative as head-fi?

Around here the Audigy 2 ZS is considered a subpar source, while the X-Fi is at least considered decent by some. If quality sound is important, go for the X-Fi.
