NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

If they can fake the 45 degree headphone jack and the look...**** it's probably just as good!

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I use the v-moda cables with mine and they've stood up to all sorts of attacks.

[REVIEW] Logitech UE9000 - Ultimate Ears HEADPHONES Released! The UE4000, UE6000 and the UE9000 - Impressions Thread

Yup don't buy UE9000 if you have a warranty issue you're screwed.  They'll just tell you they've been discontinued and suggest replacing them with UE900 (not very similar!).

    AudiophileDesktop (Centrance)

Had them for a couple years too and wouldn't sell them. Very smooth, natural midrange. Enjoyable! Stereo imaging is precise and superb. Match them with the isoacoustics stands to get them off the desk and prevent early reflections and vibrations. Made a huge difference in my setup once I up...

Are there headphones that recreate stereo like speakers in a room?

Check out the NAD Visio HP50's. They are acoustically tuned to mimic the sound of speakers in a room. I love them. Use them nonstop at the office. They have an easiness about them. Very pleasant.

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

HP50 is very comfortable for me, and I found the HD650 a little tight at times so I'm not immune to pickiness. :-)

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

I prefer the HP50 to the Momentums.  I think the presentation on the Momentums is a tad forward.  Plus the earpads on the HP50 have much more room for my ears.   Only downside is the length of the HP50 cable is only 47"...at my office space I run them off of a Nuforce iDo that sits behind my...

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?

Just got my HP50's unboxed and wow. They are extremely well balanced in tone. Not the overly fast treble you often find. Very warm and energizing (opposite of fatiguing). I'll compare to vmoda m100 with nuforce ido.

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote:   Got an RMA# today.  They must be really busy because this took 2 business days.   How did you pack yours up?  The form says not to use the wooden box.  So I am thinking of using my travel box.  Seems like the best way to ensure they aren't damaged during shipping.

    New Audeze LCD3

My left channel just stopped working. Thinking it is a driver failure. Emailed them yesterday but no response yet. We shall see. Audio nirvana interruptus!

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote: Yes sometimes I notice a click, especially when going to a lower volume setting.  I haven't noticed it getting louder over time yet, but only owned my rig about a month so I'll keep you updated.   Some other threads here mention the clicking, but most seem to think its normal for...

    New Audeze LCD3

Then I'd say consider a cheaper headphone. Why spend 1950$ and not get the performance. Comparing my Burson Soloist to the headphone output in my DACmini is like night and day for LCD3. But I lived without it for 6 months until I could afford. Definitely glad I upgraded. Incredibly satisfying. :-)

Looking for headphones great for piano.

Couple other suggestions:   1) Schiit DAC/Amp combo for 200$ looks good. 2) You could get some Grados (SRi80...$80?) and pair them with an Audioengine D1 (169$).  Good synergy there... 3) Also, I second the AKG recommendation.

Looking for headphones great for piano.

Holy cow the Dacport is way overpriced in your area!  I was thinking 299$ new...maybe 250$ used.

    CEntrance DACmini DAC/Amplifier Official Thread

I have the exact same issue with the headphone output when listening at very low volumes.  Image shifts to the left, right channel drops several dB.   Would you mind testing your unit's headphone output to see if you experience my issue at low volume?   Thanks David

Looking for headphones great for piano.

Personally I find hd650 to be less suited for acoustic guitar and piano than the hd600. Get the hd600 used with a decent dac/amp combo like centrance dacport. I have the hd650 and dacmini but feel it is too rich in the midrange and rolled off in the treble for a brilliant, sparkly grand piano.

    New Audeze LCD3

Did you purchase directly from Audeze or an online dealer, just curious?  Were they pretty responsive in getting it resolved?

(UPDATE)New Sennheiser Momentum in various Colour? And On-Ear version? Watch the official video"

Wish they'd do a larger earpad version too. :-) Smaller on-ear will be cool especially if they give M-80s a run for the money.

I don't understand the sennheiser momentum headphones

Had same experience with Momentums. Sounded too rich. Decided my ears were just a tad too squished and that was affecting the sonics. Hopefully they do another model next year. Really WANT to love them.

Woo Audio WA6 + WA6SE: Tubes, Comments, Pictures, and Advice

Once I got a hold of Jack everything was resolved quickly.  Just the 4 days I spent in communication with the Product Specialist was frustrating.  Maybe a new employee in training, who knows.

    Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-3

Okay today the Burson Soloist arrived, and I did some listening comparisons with the DACmini to see how the LCD3 sound changed.   Already very pleased with the DACmini (except for the issue of the right channel cutting out at low volume), I didn't expect much improvement.  Holy cow.  The...

    New Audeze LCD3

Got a pair for Father's Day, currently driven off my DACmini.  Compared to my HD650's, it is incredibly effortless with tighter and more extended bass.  Only about 40 hours in...keeps getting better. :-)
