It doesn't take much to snowball out of control. I started with the ATH M-50 then upgraded to the M-100. Picked up a VAMP VERZA and then decided I wanted an open set for home listening so I got the X1 and now am eyeballing this and the Alpha Dogs. All within a year!!!

Just got my HP50's unboxed and wow. They are extremely well balanced in tone. Not the overly fast treble you often find. Very warm and energizing (opposite of fatiguing). I'll compare to vmoda m100 with nuforce ido.

Gah this sounds like the perfect headphone I need right now as a compliment to the HD25 Aluminium!

Actually I'm really interested in this Room Feel Technology. Does it really make the soundstage feel much larger (esp. in comparison to momentums)? I have such high expectations for the hp50s now.

Which is the overall better set of cans? Maybe it's time for a comparison :D

There isn't a better or worse here, just preferences. HP50 is $100 less.  P7 has superior build quality, but is also heavier and not quite as comfortable.  Bass and mids are comparable.  HP50 is warmer and more natural to my ears; P7 is brighter and may provide real or perceived enhanced detail in the higher frequencies.

Hmm judging by those comparisons the hp50 seems to fit my preferences more but will still need to audition both to decide.
