I got the adidas version, so it's design was fairly modern and stylish and velour pads really help for comfort in addition to the funner sound that makes you tap your feet and feel engaged. It's up to you, m80 hurt my ears after like half an hour.

hd 25 1 ii are for fast pace music like electronica and rock, but it does well with all genres in general. m-80 are better for laidback music with more emphasis on vocals.

Most over ears have coiled cables though, so I would suggest on ears with comfortable velour paddings like the sennheiser hd 25 1 ii/originals.

HD25 are the best for that kind of music, but they don't cover the ears, instead they sit on it.

The M-80 fits the criteria in my opinion. It's portable, on-ear, and it's used for more vocal-related music.

I'm trying to move to over-ear headphones from IEMs for increased SQ. My body gets hot easily, so I want headphones with these kind of padding to not sweat as easily. I was thinking of the Dt 770 to be paired with my Cowon J3 and no amp. Thanks.

Has anyone tried the Sunrise Xcited IEM, Hifiman re-zero or any other balance type IEM with the J3? If so, can you give a general direction of what my BBE settings should look like? Thanks.

I was wondering if the sunrise xcited works well with the J3 or should I just stick with my iPod touch? Sound quality is my priority. Is there another portable player that utilizes these IEM well? Thanks.

I didn't get the J3 yet, but I want an upgrade in SQ from my Ipod Touch unless there is not much of a difference with these IEM in the Ipod Touch and the IEM in the J3.
