Go on then...list of HF-1 serial numbers
#122 here I was saving my pennies for PS-1s, but the exclusivity and uniqueness at that special price is so hard to say no to. Plus, I've been thinking of trying wooden Grados again after my failed affair with the RS-1. So, anyway, here's some food for thought: HP-1 RS-1 PS-1 HF-1...- bookkeepers_son

Summer 2005 SoCal Meet Impressions/Photos
Hey, Borat, it was cool hangin' out with you at the meet, and also with augustwest, foo_me, DigiPete, Hsin (?, sorry forgot your screen name)and others. Great to meet Jon L. in person (he recabled my K340), too. Nice to see a person so young so deep into music and gear (Borat), and very astute... -
RS-1 worth it?
I guess to each his own. I owned RS-1s and used a Cary 300sei to drive them. I think I've used this combination for all of 10 hours (over a period of 5 years) total before I finally sold the RS-1. They are good cans but I couldn't get past that woody coloration that imposed itself over...- bookkeepers_son

Is there an AKG K501 Team?
The bass on my K501s is fine, just fine. I read some old posts that make it seem that the whole low frequency was cut off from these headphones. It could be QC problems, but the bass on mine is really good., It reminds me of an overdamped bass from a sealed-box minimonitor, which incidentally...- bookkeepers_son
