Vsonic GR06 Review
The only E6 I ever bought was a fake, and I've yet to replace it. It was a suggestion, not a statement from my own experience :p As I also said, I never found the 06 to be muddy...- Cu Chulainn

Vsonic GR06 Review
I'd try passing it through an eq (try boosting thr 14KHz region), or a portable amp, like the FiiO E6 to see if that helps tighten it up. I could never describe them as muddy though, infact I found them to be more on the analytical side.- Cu Chulainn

I saw very little difference at all after several months. Might have been down to music that I played, but I cant recall any improvement.- Cu Chulainn

Vsonic GR06 Review
amazon.ca seems to have a pair altough they are charging almost double what mine cost 14 months ago. In all honesty, warranties are void unless bought from a VSonic Authorized Dealer, so you're better off looking for one of those - although if they are discontinued (as I suspect and as is...- Cu Chulainn

Good IEM's under or around $50
E10 is far from neutral, its more bass-orientated and has a fun-easy-to-listen-to soundstage. As you mentioned, M1 would be a better choice, as would the MEElec CW31s- Cu Chulainn

Fischer Audio Eterna
Hey, After my VSonic GR06s died on me, I've decided to replace them with the Eternas, but £50 discouts from RRP on Amazon and advancedmp3players.co.uk has made me wonder if there are any fakes floating around. If indeed there are fakes, how would I identify them? Cheers!- Cu Chulainn

Vsonic GR06 Review
Left IEM packed up after 14 months, and Im now left without a replacement as 1) they are out of warranty 2) they're discontinued by VSonic. Anyone have any news on why theyve been axed?- Cu Chulainn

[REVIEW] SoundMAGIC E10, E30, EH11 and P30 – New Magic
Firstly, apologies for the the thread revival, but my VSonic GR06s just failed on me and as such Im looking for a replacement. I keep coming across the E10 and E30s name, and am wondering how they compare to the GR06. I was a fan of the sound signature, but found the bass a bit more recessed and...- Cu Chulainn

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
Marginally off-topic, but have Koss changed the PortaPros at all in the past two years or so? I ordered a pair 22 months ago now, and recently kramer mod'd them and put some reversed HD414 pads on, thought they sound pretty sweet. Mother tried them and ended up ordering a new pair, arrived...- Cu Chulainn

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
HD414 pads are a better alternative, and being a thicker higher 'quality' foam are more comfortable. I haven't had an issue sweat wise with them and they've been with me lifting and during cardio sessions :) The 414 pads can be mounted normally, or you can reverse mount them.- Cu Chulainn

Kramer-mod... KSC75...
Did the Kramer mod to my PortaPros just a minute ago, difference is quite astonishing. Much better clarity and presence in the mids and trebles, and the bass has tightened up a little bit too - win win! Looking to replace the pads next, been looking at Senn HD414 pads - anyone here...- Cu Chulainn

Tell me about the Pioneer SA-770
Hi guys, Inherited a Pioneer Stereo Amplifier SA-770 off my Uncle, and Im currently powering some Wharfedale Diamond 9.0s and Delta 5s off of it. Problem is, I know next to nothing about it, and a quick Google returned equally little - other than the fact its from 1986! Wondering if...- Cu Chulainn

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?
Oooh, I ended up with some Koss PortaPros, after googling something along the liens of "cheap good headphones" and seeing them recommended on here - loved them and still have them 2 years later. I then lost my Sennheiser CX400-II Precisions (thankfully, in hindsight!) and ended up with...- Cu Chulainn

Taking Koss Portapro to the Limit (cool mods).
Bit of a thread resurrection, but is the resistance mod worth doing? Costs around £10, which is near enough 50% of what I payed for the PortaPros themselves! :p If so, anyone got a UK source?- Cu Chulainn
