BA_D_R's impressions are similar to that other kid that bought Sig DJ, the TH-900, and ended up selling them both and bought a D5000.   I would say, try the D5000.

I have read some people say the DJs have recessed mids, but it begs the question, compared to what?   You definitely need that context. The DJs are not recessed when you come from Denon, or even from other ultrasones. That's coming from TWerk's impressions as well as my own. I own the denon D1000.

To be honest, TWerk's critique was that they were TOO good for him at this point in time.
