    LG G7 ThinQ to DAP...upgrade?

Don't we all need better sound everywhere? :o2smile: I don't stream or plan on using anything but Airplane Mode. My G7 doesn't even have the right time and date because it's been in AP mode so long. OS issues is a good point! I do computer and cell phone forensics as part of my job so I...

    LG G7 ThinQ to DAP...upgrade?

I posted the thread as part of my research! I realize mid range DAPs have various signatures but as a whole, I am more curious what people have to say moving from an ES9218P based phone to a dedicated DAP. The ES9218P is as good as it gets for phones and is even in some budget DAP/portable...

    LG G7 ThinQ to DAP...upgrade?

Hey all, I am in the process of converting my desktop stuff to full portable setup due to my job. I currently have an. LG G7 ThinQ dedicated to only music listening. I use it with Mee Audio M6 Pro/KZ ZS10 at the gym and Mee Pinnacle P1 or Campfire Audio Dorado for airplane/work. I love the...

USED IEM and DAP combo for ~$1000 for metal

Whoa whoa! If you fancy yourself a connoisseur, do please check out some 'core' like Fit For An Autopsy's latest masterpiece - The Sea of Tragic Beasts. But generally I agree...if they sell the shirt at Hot Topic, probably not for me. Thanks for the input!

USED IEM and DAP combo for ~$1000 for metal

Due to a change in my job I am switching from a desktop system to a DAP and IEM combo as my primary listening setup. I don't follow IEM//portable threads like I do full size, so please recommend some options! I do have an LG V20 that has acted as my "DAP" over the last few years so if...

Best ~$400 Used Full Size For Death Metal?

Good point. I would say I lean toward a "neutral" sound as much as that is attainable anyway. I won't say the modded T50RP that I currently have are muddy but they don't seem to be "fast" enough to keep up with some of the noodly tech death like Obscura or Necrophagist.

Worth noting that I hopefully just pulled the trigger on a Schiit Lyr + Schiit Bifrost as my new source...

Looking for budget DAP for the gym

I use an LG V20 for the gym only and love it. There is actually a "mini" version you can find in Europe that has the same DAC. It is called the Q8. I paid $105 awhile ago so the price may have dropped even more.

Best ~$400 Used Full Size For Death Metal?

Hi all, I am looking for a new (to me) set of full size cans for desktop listening from USB (FLAC/320k) at work. For now they will be driven by Schiit Magni2/Modi2 stack but that might upgrade in the future. Requirements: -Buying to listen to melodic death metal, technical death metal...

Way more than I can afford but someday hope to in a CIEM, but I read the whole thing thanks to your opening paragraph that hooked me!  Well done and very cool, sounds like an awesome piece of gear.

Does a Custom IEM like this exist?

Thank you for the leads all, gives me a place to start looking just knowing that they exist

Does a Custom IEM like this exist?

Forgive me for not keeping up with audiophile stuff for the last few years, it was never a big hobby of mine and been a crazy few years of life.   I recently got a new job that requires a LOT of travel.  I currently tote my BMF style T50RP's around with my Schitt Magni/Modi but will soon be...

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!

Looks good!  How do you like the keypad, and what types of games do you use it with?   I thought about getting one when EQ Next comes out, depending what kind of button mapping I need for it.

    knife-fi?

You'll adapt very fast to carrying a gun that slim IWB.  Unless you are overweight, then people seem to ditch IWB pretty fast due to comfort.

Quote:   I haven't tried it yet, but Cyanogen and battery life aren't usually a common pair.  Tons of variables to consider of course, other than just the ROM.   I'm still going back to Pacman ROM after trying stuff on the N4, Franco Kernel for me since I love the updater and app.

    Android-fi!

Quote: It is a generational refresh and the increased CPU and GPU performance is nothing short of impressive for just a "refresh."   The display, the SoC and the Wifi chip alone in one device for $229 is "amazing" to me.   Not to mention the much faster storage and RAM performance...

Quote:   If it is a PWM header you can make your own noise profile in the BIOS based on the temp of the CPU, what motherboard do you have?   I can help you set it up if you aren't familiar with that.
