MLE's thread here might be of some help to you, especially the first post. The MixAmp uses DH like you're using with your sound card, so checking out his reviews of a bunch of headphones regarding their performance with DH might be what you need. Hope it helps!

Yeah, I'm not using the AD700 at 10-15%, I'm using the HFI780 at 10-15% (with no mic). If I go under 10-15% (can't get an exact reading), the sound gets imbalanced. If I use the A40s (which I'll only haul out for halo or cod), they're at 40-50%, with a mic, with game/voice at 50%.    AH HA...

Yeah, it's a wired MixAmp. It could be 15%, but it is definitely far below 25%. I thought it was weird, too! I should go test it with other headphones to see if it's just my 780s or if the other cans I have are like that (I can't remember because it's been a while since I tried the others).

IEMs with a good seal will also block out noise better.

For electronic, from what I've personally listened to, there's also the Shure SRH750DJ, Phiaton MS400, or Ultrasone HFI-780. I've used the 780s with an Astro MixAmp for gaming and movie-watching, and they've been phenomenal for that. For music listening, though, I usually turn to something else (Phiaton MS400 is the normal choice, sometimes SRH750DJ).
