The FiiO X3 2nd gen (ex X3K, X3II) Thread : 192K/24B, CS4398,Native DSD, USB DAC with LO and inline remote
IMHO the x3ii is just simply amazing at this price point, although the amp section of the player leaves much to be desired, the DAC section is wonderful. I only use lossless files, so the 5800 song limit isn't a problem.- leezhunjin

Portable amps for sensitve BA customs
I'm using a JH16 and an ACS T1, there's this issue with portable audio that I have. I listen to music at very low volumes, due to having both sensitive ears and wanting to take care of my hearing. Most DAPs tend to have hissing problems with JH16 due to the drivers being so sensitive, I've got...- leezhunjin

Same Old Schiit? Balanced Research and Valhalla Amp Giveaway
1.Do you have balanced headphones? If so, which ones? I currently own a few headphones, none of them balanced so far because i currently don't own a balanced amp. I own a balanced earphone though which is my JH16 with TWAG V2 terminated with RSA balanced. 2.If not, are you looking at...- leezhunjin

Want a decent setup for College.
Consider Shure SRH840/940? These are popular for closed cans. The other choice would be Audio Technica M50, but i really don't know if these would be good for classical. You can probably search and read some things about them. I think some people say Superlux is good as well, but you have to get...- leezhunjin

Is the HD650 the ONLY dark sounding full-sized open headphone?
I left my HD650 on my Sieveking stand for 1 week, never felt the clamp again after that. THe K70x stupid headband makes my head hurt though, what were they thinking when they put the bumps there? Simple physics tells you it's going to concentrate all the pressure on the bumps, i feel like taking...- leezhunjin

What should I get in addition to my AKG K-240's
Quote: Actually i got only a Eddie Current for my K701 but it was the one that sparked everything. After that my JH and ACS took over my life and I started looking at portable amps because i was out most of the time, it was also a frustrating time as most of the amps were too loud or...- leezhunjin

What should I get in addition to my AKG K-240's
Erm... i don't think the Fiio can power them sufficiently though... The K702/701 is very very picky on amps. Oh well, if it doesn't fit, get another amp! Well, that's what my K701 did to me, and after that i got another and another and another and.......- leezhunjin

Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
Quote: I've seen someone use an LCD2 as a portable, Hifiman HM801 >> Graham Slee Solo >> LCD2 Powered by Energizer Battery Pack. LOL a reaction from a non-audiophile to my Ed8, "Not enough bass, this thing is bad."- leezhunjin

Why is everyone trying to get rid of their AKG701?
Quote: Well, the K701 needs a warm amp with lots of juice. Would be grateful if someone told me what voltage and current does with the sound, because all i see in the specs is the wattage, which is V multiplied by I (Current) I'm still very new to this hobby, only been in this for...- leezhunjin

Why is everyone trying to get rid of their AKG701?
First of all, i want to say i absolutely love my K701s, and i would give my left testicle to keep them even if I have found something better just for the sentimental value of it, it was the first headphone that i really fell in love with after all. Why people sell off their K701s? 1)...- leezhunjin

Thank you Ricmi for putting so much care in your posts, you have my respect. Non-audiophile reactions to high-end headphones
I had an interesting opinion from my friend who at that time, hadn't owned any audiophile headphones. He listened to my DT990 and said, "the bass was a little heavy and the treble quite shrill, the bass was a little recessed, but overall it sounds really good." After a few months, he got a...- leezhunjin
