Klipsch S4 vs Audio-technica ES55 vs AKG Q460 or vs something like that..
I can't comment on the AT's. I can highly recommend the S4's though. I have been using them since 2009, and they remain my favorite earphones. I have used Klipsch X5 (a major step above the S4, but discontinued now, and an armature design, so very different sound), Ultimate Ears 700, Super-Fi...- sel00264

S4i's and Shure Olives....super quick questions
Can't help you much with the Shure Olive's but I know I have used Comply tips on the S4's, and you can easily look up which ones you need on the Comply website, search by the drop down menu, click on Klipsch, if I remember correctly.- sel00264

Sennheiser HD238 vs AKG K450?
Yes, the Sennheiser PX100-ii should take care of that for you. Way more bass than the 238, too much for me in fact, and they fit much more snugly on the ears.- sel00264

Good Sub-$100 Headphones for Metal
This may have been asked before. What I am looking for is suggestions on headphones in this price range that are capable of faithfully reproducing the detail and technicality of modern metal and its various subgenres. In other words, very fast music. Something with exceptionally tight bass...- sel00264

Nano 6G
I've been really considering the 16gb Nano 6G, but I am worried about storage capacity. How much capacity do you get in reality? Usually its something like 15gb. In iTunes, I have a total of just under 18gb, and some of it I wouldn't even put on the Nano. Wondering if I just rerip some of...- sel00264

Ultimate Ears 700 Appreciation Thread!
I had the 700's last year, and when I sold them off for certain reasons, I was dying to get them back again. Now, they come with new packaging and they actually come with different silicone tips. The packaging is specifically Logitech packaging now, same packaging as the UE500 and 350's...- sel00264

Integrated 7.1 PC audio? Is it decent?
Thanks, one more question, how difficult is it changing sound cards? I have never upgrade a desktop before, so I have little experience opening the thing up and upgrading stuff. I will look into the Asus sound cards, didn't even realize they were a player in upgrading sound cards. I always...- sel00264

Integrated 7.1 PC audio? Is it decent?

Integrated 7.1 PC audio? Is it decent?
So most desktops ship with 7.1 integrated audio, but some manufacturers like Dell, HP, and Velocity Micro offer the ability to upgrade to a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio card ... is it worth the upgrade for headphones and my 2.1 speaker system (H/K Soundsticks)?- sel00264

Klipsch in 2010
Looks like the Image One are priced to compete with the Bose Around Ear 2, also around $150. Anybody have a chance to compare the Klipsch and Bose?- sel00264

Klipsch image s4i sucks big time
Are there any sub-$100 options that have more up-front mids? I always read criticisms of the S4's recessed mids, but I am still uncertain as to what this actually sounds like versus a similar IEM with non-recessed mids. I imagine that with a bassy sound signature like the S4's, the mids will...- sel00264

Klipsch image s4i sucks big time
If you are looking for a more neutral, less bassy sound signature, supposedly the Maximo iMetal 590 are good for $50. I have tried a ton of IEM's in the sub-$100 range and continue to go back to the S4 for their unrivaled comfort, great isolation, and arguably great sound quality. I say...- sel00264

Ultimate Ears 350: First Impressions
So Best Buy officially has the new UE 350 and 500 in stock, two pairs I've been wanting to try out since their announcement back in September. I picked up the 350 today and here is my first impressions, after use for a few minutes (in other words, with zero burn-in time): They really...- sel00264

Klipsch image s4i sucks big time
Been using the S4's since they were first introduced back in '09, and they most certainly are not crap. The Creative ones you have are far likelier to qualify for that category in comparison with the S4's. Burn-in takes some time, and the results are rewarding. They are not the best IEM's in...- sel00264

Lookig for iem with good bass with top price around $80
For hip-hop, as well all other genres, I continue to believe that the Klipsch S4 are superior in the sub-$100 range. For hip-hop, you generally want good bass, and I took the S4's over the Monster Turbines. The S4's are exceptional I think, though maybe less so in construction (though my two...- sel00264

Sennheiser PX100-II and MX 880 earbuds?
Having used the PX100's and enjoyed their open-aire, articulate sound, I wonder if anybody could give their impression of how a high-end earbud like the MX880's would compare as far as detail, airy-ness, instrument separation, all the great quality's of the PX100's basically. I know the...- sel00264

Any idea on new Klipsch models?
That's interesting. S3 is likely to be a step down from the S4, and the S5 could be slightly better. Perhaps they are still keeping the X5 and X10 around, then I could justify upgrading.- sel00264
