I love my HD-497's They helped me through the bad times and enhanced the good times. I love them so much I painted them and scratched designs in them while on "adventures"...and voided the warrenty obiously. If I could make love to them I would but I can't... The problem is The cables...

Ok i take back everything i said, I tested my Logitech 530s this time using the line out and whoa, they sound alot better then when plugged into the AC97. Everything sounds more clear and less muddy, bass is tighter and i see no difference in the amount. Sorry for my stupid ass coments haha...

I have no way of getting it to you, Besides ill keep it around untill i find a "use" for it. Hell AC97's 5.1 is so much better then this card...it's pathetic. And yes I even compared 5.1, the AV710 lost. I swear some games sounded like 8-bit consoles on the AV710... It was amusing nVmixer...

No, i followed the guide exactly. Why would i need an amp? even without one there should be NO CLIPPING at all... Even with an amp foobar would still show clipping errors... Can you see if you get clipping errors? open up your console and tell me if you do.
