Serious security problems with Alessandro's site
I think it's unprofessional. I don't see why I'd ever deal with a company that, when this issue is brought to their attention, refuses to fix it.- flamingantichimp

damn you all...
I recommend being poor. As a highschool student, budget controls my impulse. After a summer of profitable poker playing, I was able to afford a pair of used A900's. Sweet!!! Next summer, I'll play poker for a CMOY. Also make sure you play with friends who won't accept your headphones as a...- flamingantichimp

will running and sweating hard damage my shure e2c?
I recently got injuried running and now work out at the Y with my Shure E2c's. . . The first time I used my preferred, foam sleeves. That was a really good idea, until afterwards, when they were so wet and absorbed that they didn't act like foam anymore! It took days for them to get back...- flamingantichimp

looking for quality for around $70
All of the suggested headphones sound like great choices - I am a high school student and have owned a pair of KSC-35's, Shure E2c's, and now Audio Technica A-900's (way out of your budget). If you want a pair of headphones now, I'd say get the KSC-35's for $20. Value-wise, that's unbeatable...- flamingantichimp

Newbie looking for some new cans
So far I've owned two relatively low-end headphones that get good value reviews here: the KSC-35's (about $30) and the Shure E2c (about $55). I just bought a pair of AT A900's ($200 new, but I got them used), but haven't gotten/listened to them yet. The KSC-35's sound like they leak too much for...- flamingantichimp

"My Bose are better than your Beyers." how do I respond to this?!
In defense of your response, to me it sounds like a couple of dorm-room acquaintances in a argument where formalities and tact are neither needed nor desirable. Here's where you might be wrong, though: If you have never listened to the Bose headphones, they might sound better than yours...- flamingantichimp

Headphones for a College Student
I'm in High School and I have owned both a KSC-35 and now a pair of Shure E2c. I bought the latter planning on not upgrading until I graduate at the least (in a year and a half) and perhaps longer. So far, they have suited me very well. They have a big jump in sound-quality, especially...- flamingantichimp

n00b ecstasy
For some reason, perhaps it is the fact I am a high-schooler with a limited budget, or because I have an iPod and no interest in an amp, or maybe it is just my character - I'm totally fine with my Shure E2c's. They will be my headphones until I graduate.- flamingantichimp

Thanks for the answers. A lot. And interesting replies, because no one has come out for the MS-1's yet. Oh well, I'll be patient with my decision process. To address some stuff though: 1. Amp-wise, wouldn't that severly cut down on the portability? I just have serious misgivings about an...- flamingantichimp

About $100 iPod headphones; anything besides Alessandro MS-1?
I've decided that I'm going to make a major headphone purchase, which, for my 16 year-old budget, means about $100. The most important aspect in my purchase is that it be easy to drive, seeing as how I will be using it with an unamped iPod. Second is, of course, sound quality; I listen to...- flamingantichimp

A Strange KSC-35 Problem; maybe in the cable?
For pads, I just went to Radioshack and picked out what I thought might fit. And the vaccum I used is a tiny one, intended for keyboards, actually (I believe). It hardly creates any vaccum at all.- flamingantichimp
