Visit to the Schiit Box - Schiit Factory Tour

x2 on that. Very curious about your findings.   Also, very cool pictures. I love seeing the results of manufacturing where there is just so much merchandise at the end.

I don't think tubes are for me even though I listen to a lot of sludge and stoner metal. Cleaner sounds is more up my alley. I too have been looking for a new amp for my HD600s but have not found one that I really like. All of my sources are pretty clean, I have a Shure M97XE on my Rega RP3, a...

I'd say just start with their most recent one, Fables a of Sleepless Empire and then go backwards from there. Mechanical Phoenix is a personal favorite off that album. I think it's more cohesive than their earlier work, but their earlier music is still good.   Anyone have an opinion on the new...

Hey guys,   I glanced at the thread since I last posted and didn't see anything about the new Agalloch record. It's streaming on NPR right now:   http://www.npr.org/2014/05/04/308273140/first-listen-agalloch-the-serpent-the-sphere   I think it's a more refined version of Marrow of the...

Anyone take a listen to Isis's new remaster? I'm waiting to hear some opinions on it. I'll probably end up buying it because I'm a huge fan boy, but I wanted some other's take on it.   http://www.amazon.com/Panopticon-Remastered-Isis/dp/B00JJCP6WC

Looks like I am able to make it this weekend. I'll only be bringing records this time so no space is needed for me. I already did the whole google form and paypal link so everything is all set.

Hey Guys, I'm back after a few months and I'm here to try to get you all interested in Vaura:     Their new album is pretty damn good. They have the Kevin Hufnagel from Gorguts/Dysrhythmia and Toby Driver from Kayo Dot.

24bit vs 16bit, the myth exploded!

Quantum dots are the way of the future, guys,   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_dot   In all seriousness though, quantum dots are have some interesting properties. It seems like we don't exactly know what to do with them yet.

I just got the Isis Celestial remaster/vinyl release and  I have to say that it sounds fantastic.    As for Metallica, I really enjoy their live music. They really sound great and still have a lot of energy.

Hey Wrathzombie,    I just checked out the album and it's pretty good. I've been putting off them for a while mostly because I didn't really like Visions. The picture on this albums is great too. Colored Sands just didn't do it for me. I'll take another listen sometime soon but I'm not a fan...

To the guys talking about moonsorrow, I got Kivenkantaja. While listening to it, something possessed me to do all the work in my apartment that I've been putting off. Stuff like, doing the dishes, vacuuming, cleaning the tub, hell, I even made dinner for a couple of days this week. Thank you for...

Hey modulor, glad to see there's another fan here. I really loved the first two albums (Choirs of the Eye and Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue) and have been sticking with them hoping they release something great again. This album is definitely a step huge above the past 3 or 4 in and I...

Hey Guys,    New Kayo Dot Album:   http://kayodot.bandcamp.com/album/hubardo   To weigh in on some older conversations:  Not a fan of Devin Townshend. There is just some thing about the production that doesn't sound right to me and the music just doesn't work for me. I don't think...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Quote: Hey lllcarbonlll, what exactly do you listen to and what headphones have you listened to before? I really like my HD 600 and listen to a lot of metal, but it's mainly post (ISIS, Neurosis, Cult of Luna) and those bands sound great. I love the new Deafheaven album through them. It...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Thought I'd share my thoughts now that I've had this set for about 2 months now. This headphone really bring out the best in guitars. It's truly amazing, almost indescribable. It's like when you try fruit from outside of the US and it tastes more like that fruit. This is difficult to describe...

I made it home as well. Great seeing everyone one again. I had a great time and now figured out which direction I want to go in. Thanks to today, I know exactly what the weak links in my system are. I'll try to write some impressions this week. Big thanks to Nick and to anyone who brought...

Dallas, TX - Sunday, June 9th, 2013 - The "Not Quite In The Oven Yet" meetup

This is going to be interesting, going to bed now, hoping to get up at 6:30 and leaving Austin around 7:30. I managed to drag a friend with me so we'll see what he thinks of all of this. I'll be bringing my HD600s and cmoy, and of course my ipods. They currently are my best sources. Looking...
