Ohh!!now we are talking Prog.. What about Gentle Giant, Rush, Yes, King Crimson, Van Der Graaf Generator, Anglagard, Camel, Mike Oldfield. When Opeth - Heritage was released I had gotten pretty deep into Prog..

Okay I must ask, as someone interested in writing metal in the future. Does anyone know of any metal bands that use an upright(double, contra) bass bowed for the actual bass line? I'm really curious as to how this could sound in metal.  In my mind it sounds pretty great haha.
