Interesting you posted this, because I was wondering the same thing. I have the Atrio MG7 and I wanted an affordable full sized phones that can either match or exceed the Atrio's sound signature and powerful sub-bass, because the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's ain't doing it for me.

I concur! I'm enjoying mine with my small amp and notice a slight improvement in bass quality. And the Turbines already sound great without an amp.

They're indeed better than my UE700s. I like that they are clear sounding, but have no harsh sibilance. And I too like the deep bass it puts out. These are a keeper.

Using a pair of eartips that came with my old Nuforce earphones, the great sound quality remained the same, except they were a bit louder (I guess due to the larger openings, duh!). These tips are comparable to the fit and seal of my UE-700 tips. So after trying both out, I recommend trying out...

As you can tell, it's a small opening on the tip, but for me it doesn't affect the sound in a bad way. Actually, the sound got much better. I believe it's because it sets deeper in the ear canal and provides a tighter seal which makes the sound more focused and balanced.   Quote:

I have the UE 700 and they're great. They have a very clean and detailed sound. BUT, you must burn them in first for the sound to totally balance out. Because at first, they did sound a bit too bright and lean.
