I just got new headphones AKG 701s and I love them!

The K702 was my very first headphone, and I was hooked. Nothing else I've ever bought after that came close to recreating the pure beauty of music, and I've essentially sold off everything else. Try upping the bass EQ 7-9 decibels, and the K702 is quite a kicker.

    Stinky Grado 325is !

You have to know what and where the scent is. If you know that it's cologne, then there are several things you can do. For the pads, you can hand wash it several times, or you can throw them in the laundry. If the scent is also on the headphones themselves, then it's a bit tricky. Oils in...

Avoid Grado for bass. Senns are good, but they're a beast to power. You should look into Denon.

    Grado...where to stop?

Grado's not the way to go for bass, with exception of the GS1000. Perhaps Denon or Senn.

Odd click-sound every minute or so on Grado sr225

I'm guessing your laptop sound is software run. My laptop doesn't have a sound card and uses software to decode everything, and I constantly hear clicks and pops in the music. They're not at the same place in the music, so it's not the recording. Put a legit sound card on there if you want to...

Is there any such thing as a "fake" Grado RS1i?

Fake Grado's don't exist, because the company isn't mass market. However, it's more than incredibly easy to switch drivers with a lower model Grado, and it takes a very, very trained ear to hear the difference. If someone were to put in SR225 drivers into an RS1, most people - including the...
