The only problem is when you get it in your head you need a pair of custom monitors.... like the JH13Pros.... that's when the going gets so amazingly gorgeous sounding.... and when your wallet will kill you.

Would the differences between a predator and a pico and a D10 be huge? I'm first trying to find a great amp, then a good USB DAC, between the pico and predator, which comes out on top?

I just received my JH13's on Monday and am in absolute love with them. Their sound is just so... rich. Their is an almost syrupy substance to the sound that comes out of these monitors. And then I plugged them into my laptop... and the defecation hit the ventilation, so to speak. The 3.5mm jack...

Well, an issue has arisen. My other headphones are muddy sounding now.... which is a slight problem I guess... The iPod buds are definitely going to be pretty poor sounding when I go for a run and wear them...

My recommendation is spend quite a bit on the headphone. That is the most direct source of improvement for you. You can work on things like an amp later, but getting a good pair of IEMs will dramatically help you.

So, I am in love with my new monitors... The fit for both is stunning, the left ear being near perfect. The right ear seems to be able to break seal more easily, but I am going to travel with them for the next two weeks and see how they feel before I make a decision about refit for the right...

Just received my jh13s! I'll get some pics taken when/if, I ever take the earphones out and stop listening to my music... Or when I finish reburning my CDs to lossless code... So amazing.my ears feel quite stuffed with the jh13s in, but hopefully I can get used to it.
