Chinese / Asian Brand IEM Info Thread
Guys, can you please recomend me an iem that's good for stage monitoring? I'm not looking for isolation, but for a relatively neutral sound (not too harsh, and not too bassy). Somebody recomended me the thruthear hexa, but they are a little bit too pricey. Otherwise, I might consider the BQEYZ...- Cya|\|

All are too expensive. Any other recomendation? So the KZ are not very good in terms of being neutral for monitoring? I'm not really looking for isolation.- Cya|\|

What KZ would you recommend me for monitoring? I don't want something too bassy, neither fatiguing in the highs. How is the AS16 pro for that purpose?- Cya|\|

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
How is the current situation of wireless iems? Are they good? How about the included microphones? Are they good, and can they be used to substitute an external mic for v-logging?- Cya|\|

Hey guys, has a comparison between the kc2 and the kb100 been made already? Is the kb100? I see it's only sold by penon audio, why don't other sellers have it?- Cya|\|

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest
I've read 3 reviews of the t2 on this forum, but they were all with the open vent. How do they sound with the modded vent? Do they become too boomy, or do they incidentally increase treble harshness too?- Cya|\|

VSONIC GR09
I used to wear the anniversary edition on the ear, rather than around the ear, because they would give more bass. I think that with 20 hours of burn-in the bass increases, and now I prefer them over the ear. They might lose a tiny bit of sub bass this way, but you get tighter low mids. As a...- Cya|\|

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
In general, I'm not sure burn-in changes the sound...but man, in-ear positioning does to a great extent. If I put them over the ear I lose bass; if I put them straight in I get more bass. I would have preferred them to sound better over the ear, but fortunately they fit well even straight, and...- Cya|\|

That made me lol. Thx for your hint anyway. In the end, covering either vent didn't improve the sound of my iems. Covering the inner would make the sound too bassy and boomy (I didn't notice the increase in the highs, probably because it was masquerated by the bass). Covering the outer vent...- Cya|\|

I don't understand. Didn't you cover the inner vents here http://frequency-response.blogspot.it/2017/06/KZ-ZS5-Frequency-Response.html and reduced the bass?- Cya|\|

I want to try to mod my iems. Since somebody's already done it with the kz zs5, I would like to ask here for how to do it. Does covering the inner vent (the one near the ear muzzle) decrese the bass, and covering the outer vent decrese clarity?- Cya|\|

GR07 Anniversary Edition just landed :sunglasses:. Am burning them in at low volume. For the few minutes I've listened to them, so far I'm impressed . Finally, iems that don't sound harsh do to spykes in FR. They lack a little clarity in the mid-highs. I wonder if burn-in will improve...- Cya|\|

crinacle's IEM FR measurement database
I agree with you. Frequency response is so underestimated. Other differences may matter more with speakers, where the frequency responses are most often very similar, and other factors may affect the sound. Concerning headphones and iems, where frequency responses vary greatly, I believe that...- Cya|\|

Ended up buying the Anniversary Edition. The fact that it is now sold on aliexpress made me more willing to buy it. Since they are made by the new manufacturer, durability should be better than the gr07x. If I find it too bassy and with not enough treble, I may alwas try the vent mod. A very...- Cya|\|

Vsonic anniversary edition finally on aliexpress! After having listened to them for a while, which do you guys prefer? The gr09/AE or the gr07x/CE? Do you think the bass on the gr09/AE is neutral or boosted? Does it overpower the highs?- Cya|\|
