Laptop to Bi-wire (possible?)
Hi. I've been thinking about purchasing Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers to play music from my laptop. After doing some research I discovered that the speakers use bi-wire input, which I've never heard about. Is there any SPD/IF to Bi-wire converter available? And what are my other options for...- Smirk

S/PDIF output to DAC
I had that thought, but didn't want to believe it. Damn you Asus if it's true! Thx for the links. Also bluejeans have both the optical cable and adapter available. Can you please check whether those are the ones I need at their page (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/...udio/index.htm)...- Smirk

S/PDIF output to DAC
I have a s/pdif out on my laptop, which I was told by Asus support (model M50Vc) is digital coaxial. I purchased Bluejeans digital coaxial RCA/RCA cable and an 3.5mm MONO MALE to RCA FEMALE Adaptor for Audio S/PDIF (3.5mm MONO MALE to RCA FEMALE Adaptor for Audio S/PDIF - eBay (item 230435858985...- Smirk

Those are Ins and they indeed look different. The digital out on the laptop is combined with HP out and looks just like a normal headphones port, just has s/pdif written near it.- Smirk

Seperate DAC and AMP below 500$
I want to purchase a good desktop (I guess everything not portable is desktop?) DAC and AMP for my laptop and AD900 cans. So far I've been considering Firestone Audio Spitfire 24bit DAC (cause it has optical in) and Cute Beyond AMP. It'd be great to get any advice whether this rig would be good...- Smirk

FiiO E1 + E7 (speculation-no-more) *now guest-starring: E9
So basically E7 is an amp/dac while E9 is just an amp but much better at it than E7? If E1 will be as good as it's reviewed I'm so buying E9.- Smirk

Help with Ipod Classic Album Art
I've heard transferring album art is major issue in 3rd party software for syncing with Ipods, so if you're anal about your art Itunes is your best bet. It's sad that APPLE are so anal about Itunes being the only salvation for a lost soul using Ipod. I like Itunes, but I don't like when there is...- Smirk

Ipod Classic case for LOD
Yeah I need a case which has an opening big enough for any LOD out there to fit. Cause almost all the time the Ipod will be with LOD connected and I obviously don't want to take the case off whenever I want to use the LOD and an amp.- Smirk

Ipod Classic case for LOD
Can someone please advise me a decent Ipod classic 2009 160Gb case to accommodate almost any size of the LOD I'd throw at him. Specifically for that huge FiiO E1 LOD connector. Surely I'm gonna switch from it eventually and averagely LODs are smaller that E1 (afaik) but right now I need one...- Smirk

LOD + AMP for Ipod Classic
Whiplash ones look good. I notice they are one of the most popular on head-fi. Comon guys, at least in theory what amp will sound good with AD900 or generally a great sounding portable amp improving any cans. Seems AD900s are not popular here at all.- Smirk

It'd be wonderful if you guys could recommend me a good LOD and AMP combo for Ipod Classic 160Gb 7th Gen and Audio Technica AD900 cans. I don't want to overpay for something I'm not going to hear with this rig, but I'd like to get close to the best experience possible. My budget is around...- Smirk
