I have a s/pdif out on my laptop, which I was told by Asus support (model M50Vc) is digital coaxial. I purchased Bluejeans digital coaxial RCA/RCA cable and an 3.5mm MONO MALE to RCA FEMALE Adaptor for Audio S/PDIF (3.5mm MONO MALE to RCA FEMALE Adaptor for Audio S/PDIF - eBay (item 230435858985 end time Feb-20-10 13:35:00 PST)).
My DAC is Fubar IV and it has a coaxial input. But the main thing is I can't get all this stuff to work! I updated drivers, switched digital output to primary device, used AIMP and Foobar2000, some other wicked manipulations and still nothing...
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. Any advice would be great. Maybe I'm missing some needed configuration.

BTW, everything works ok using stock usb/mini-usb cable (which came with Fubar).

Do you have an optical cable? Most laptops use optical (toslink). You would need a Toslink Female to Toslink Mini Male Adapter for the cable or an optical to mini cable. If you see a red beam then it is optical.

or a standard toslink with:

HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more!

Reason I say this is because I called one of my laptop manufacturers and they advised the same when in fact it was optical.

I had that thought, but didn't want to believe it. Damn you Asus if it's true!

Thx for the links. Also bluejeans have both the optical cable and adapter available.

Can you please check whether those are the ones I need at their page (http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/...udio/index.htm):

1. BJC Optical Digital Audio Cable
2. Female Toslink/Male 1/8" Adapter
