Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
The newly hyped Tripowin TC-01 (single DD - Silicone + PU coating) seems to fit half the bill hehe, some head-fiers are already swearing by it over Blon offerings and Beryllium Urbanfuns. Easy to drive too they say. https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/tripowin-tc-01.24878/- Howell29

@Codename john you mean the Beryllium Urbanfun still edges it a bit technicalities wise at least? But for consistent QC's sake and 2 pin connectors let's go- Howell29

They seal like suction cups too haha, also curious on that recently discussed foam mod on silicone tips if it'll provide even better results on flipped tips Paging eartips manufacturers hehe- Howell29

Yah the frustration especially when the tips gets all oily lol, guess I'm lucky that the stock 03 tips when flipped fits right on the 03 & mh750 nozzles after flipping all tips at my home haha Any generic tips that measures the same bore as stock 03 tips? I need a stockpile of these hahahaha- Howell29

Maybe sound waves aren't that choked when tips are wide bore vs common narrow bore ones. An 8kHz EQ 2-3db bump and crisp treble is back. I miss the bass quantity that foam tips provide but at least it's still tight. So you're right on that open-back headphone like sound- Howell29

Just flip the stock tips (not the spinfit like one) with a screw and best seal ever (ymmv hehe) https://www.head-fi.org/threads/flip-tips-or-fliptips-prepare-to-have-your-mind-blown.906357/- Howell29

Not to mention that wide bore tips like the Azla ones are expensive, flipped tips (when you flipped the right one for an IEM) are wallet awesome They sort of give the mids some space for me, maybe better instrument separation? Then that tight bass and less hot upper mids and treble- Howell29

Is the ongoing sound variation of units caused by the 'biofilm' or organic nature of the new Blon-01's drivers? Much like OLED panels are to smartphones vs the consistency of LCDs- Howell29

Noted Sir Slater, will try to find that 2 part epoxy at the local hardware store. I'm already itching 'bout superglue earlier though I know it'll be a wet mess hahaha. So there's an old glue? Where? At the 3 inside hole connectors?- Howell29

Mmm 2 pin cable connectors just need some alcohol or contact cleaners for a consistent connection. Though others seem to have one side really dying on them sadly- Howell29

As for the sound, this do get slightly hot in the upper mids if the song demands it but nothing really offensive here just sparkle. Can't demand more technicalities from such small driver- Howell29

URBANFUN YBF-ISS014 Impressions thread
Hmm maybe the odds are in my ears favor since medium size foam tips fit right on me. The only time I worry 'bout my hearing is when I forcefully hear at high volume on shouty and sibilant as most Chi-fi gear You still got me thinking though if I feel pressure at all in my head, that freaking...- Howell29
