It usually tightens bass up by creating a better seal and stiffer material allows for less energy loss of reflected sound waves in the eardrum. As @chinmie said above, more solid bass attack.

You can always add some foam to the back of the flange. Basically make them like DIY Sony noise isolation hybrids. That will stiffen the fit.

You are inspiration.

I tried a few eartips:

  • Spinfit CP100 M: The Spinfits are pretty stable in the ear, and produce a good seal. A little uncomfortable because of the plastic and the way it inserts. But I found this to produce the best seal.
  • AliExpress T400 foams: There are places on AliExpress that sell foam eartips in bulk plastic containers. You can choose red, blue, black. I used some of these T400 foams, and they are very comfortable and fit well on the BL-01. The seal may not have been as good as the Spinfits, but I find I can use these for longer intervals without complaint.
  • Tips from Sony MH755 - These are good on the BL-01 just as they were on the BL-03. People seem to be using the Large-sized tips, which is fine. I bet medium would work well, too. I don't know how available the MH755 still is, but even fakes would have the right eartips.
Please keep in mind that I used O-rings to distance the tips from the nozzle, although it isn't strictly necessary with most of these tips.

This is the best with these! Thank-you!

I’m losing my marbles right now? Soundstage is now like full-size openbacks? Nothing sounds off frequency wise now either. This is like a $2000 flagship experience at the moment? ? ?

Why not? You hear what you hear. I am more interested in hearing your enjoyment than those who have been marinated in negativity. They are exceptional for the dosh. Now coffee and breakfast in the UK. Love the smell of fresh ground coffee.

Well, it will take a few days to get a hold of this in realistic terms. Very different than regular tips. The IEMs are somehow getting the mids and treble opened due to a different soundstage. I’m not sure? The treble and midrange were almost compressed before......yet now not?

So many are using inverted tips and swear by them.

I've been using inverted tips for over a year, or extra large 14.5mm misdoku tips. The only snag with inverted tips is, they tend to stay in your ear, or fall off because they are more slippy on the nozzle. Especially on the Blon earphones. Superglue is helpful, although it is frowned upon by @Slater
