Nice! They look like the E-Horn tips :)

Another thanks to you mate, to more things for us that you've done and will do, cheers :beerchug:

Should have thanked you on the flipped tips thread a month ago, but I'm too busy enjoying these flip tips, and flipping all tips that I see hahahaha

Now my foam tips are sitting in the drawer lol

After 14 years I thought I saw it all here?

Not to mention that wide bore tips like the Azla ones are expensive, flipped tips (when you flipped the right one for an IEM) are wallet awesome

They sort of give the mids some space for me, maybe better instrument separation? Then that tight bass and less hot upper mids and treble

No question there. The cure are great!
In a hazy half sleep, after dozing, I played this and thought 'sounds great on my Blon 01', and then suddenly realised I was listening on the Dunu Topsound M380. Actually it does sound great on these fixed cable, triple micro driver IEM's. Will give it some time on the Blon-01 when I fully wake up from my hazy psychedelic slumber (natural, not drug induced).

It is interesting how foam tips can change the bass in this song while using the BL-01?

For sure, tips can affect the sound signature, eartips are not just for fit/isolation/comfort, but they actually do change the frequency response and are a very overlooked part of an IEM. They can even make or break IEMs (case in point, BLON BL-03 with crap stock tips). I daresay you get more mileage in changing the sound via eartips than aftermarket cables.

Tips more drastic than cables and at times do more than EQ.

The right tips are imperative to get the best sound from an IEM. In the case of the Blon-03 the difference between a pure silver cable and a pure copper cable, makes the difference to whether I want to listen to it or not.

It seems I didn't even get a good seal on the BL-03 until I tried the largest tips I could find which happen to measure 14mm on the flange and 5.4mm on the bore which gives me the best bass extension so far. The stem is very soft and the flange is think however which makes me wonder if that's a feature to improve.

Then I got the Tripowin Zonie. Now I have eartips that create a good seal and a cable that doesn't take it away unless I take them off myself.

Edit: I was supposed to say thin, not think, oh well. Suffices to say that BL-03 have a LOT of subbass as well with this combo... Too much sometimes. Makes me wonder if there's such thing as a seal too good.

yup. material and nozzle width would change the EQ, while nozzle length of the tips would change the depth of the soundstage

So what kind of change should I expect from buying eartips with same dimensions but of more rigid material?

usually (based on my experience) thinner and more flexible material would "warm up" the midbass sound, and even sometimes warm up the whole frequency spectrum like a thin blanket from bass to treble. it also make the bass attack speed slightly slower.
harder/stiffer material would give a more solid bass attack.

It usually tightens bass up by creating a better seal and stiffer material allows for less energy loss of reflected sound waves in the eardrum. As @chinmie said above, more solid bass attack.

You can always add some foam to the back of the flange. Basically make them like DIY Sony noise isolation hybrids. That will stiffen the fit.
