Oddly I find the BL01 to fit better than either of the others, it's the first one I could get a seal with using stock tips!

I have to say I agree on the order of 05S, 01, 03 too, I find the 01 to be a lower resolution, less detailed version of the 05S' tuning but with a bit more extension to top and bottom. The separation of the 05S is just sublime though. I hesitate to use the word "endgame" but the 05S is more to my taste even than my shiny new Tin P1.

Does the 05s actually fit comfortably in peoples ears? They look like a more conventional shape.

01's are as i said, still uncomfortable for me, even with the foam tips that fixed the 03's fit issues. Interestingly in the opposite ear to the 03's which don't like my right, the 01's don't fit well in the left.

What kind of DAC do you use for the P1 ?

At home I use my LG V40 through a Little Dot 1+ (sometimes through an SMSL Sanskrit 6 and sometimes not). Out and about I use a GeekOut 450 or ES100 or a little portable Jazz R7.8 amplifier. I've also got a Fiio X5iii which (just) drives it, the ES100 does a better job as despite not offering the same power it has a high current mode, Planars seem to prefer current to out and out wattage.

Typically your going to have two camps; the cable believers and the cable non-believers. Best for everyone to work out their own process. Typically some will try to use SPC to help clean-up a response much like how an amp will clean-up a response. Yet in use the correct amp and correct cable seem to be an avenue for some to feel they are optimized. Basically we just let folks go with what seems to work for them.

These posts are in reference to the YouTube video where the Head-Fi member is basically saying to not get a silver cable to try and adjust the tone of your BL-01, but get an amp. In the end it may be a combo of both?

I am a believer and my initial thought was similar to yours, it can get a bit darker and that wasn't my preference. I didn't want people rushing out and buying cables that might take it darker without thinking about it or assuming silver would take it brighter. Try your gear first. I generally like the silver Limpid cable though, I am waiting for my 2.5mm Pro version to arrive.

Yes. I have the BL05 (non-s), and the shape of the IEM is ideal IMHO. It fits me very well, and actually fits me much better than the Tin T2+ does.
