The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Just posted my DX50 for sale if anyone is interested. It is from the 2nd batch and is in MINT condition with all of the original packaging and accessories. Decided I like ease of use over audiophile sound (I know, blasphemy right?). http://www.head-fi.org/t/681745/ibasso-dx50-mint-condition- Wraith13

Just for giggles I did a 2nd factory reset and now it is working. Don't know why the first one didn't take.- Wraith13

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Well, did the update and now it won't play anything. I have done a hard reset, rescaned the card and everything. If I click on either the artist, album, or genre buttons it shows a quick iBasso Audio graphic and then goes to a blank play screen. I can see all my files in the directory but...- Wraith13

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
No not yet, I have been digging through the last 30 pages of posts since I last check the thread. I'm going to do that now and see how things go. While reading these pages it hasn't had a single problem and instead has been an awesome little machine. I've been listening to one of my Def...- Wraith13

1964 Ears
No, I just said that it didn't work for me. I have rather small ear canals and when I clench my jaw or move my mouth in certain ways it either becomes uncomfortable or I lose the seal in my ear and they don't sound very good. I love my CIEMs, but not for working out.- Wraith13

1964 Ears
Quote: I feel like my V6s are very durable and would be able to withstand a lot. The weak point is going to be the cable. Also, I tried to use mine while working out (they were not intended for that by me, but they were the only headphones I had at the time) and it was not the best. I...- Wraith13

1964 Ears
Quote: Yes, they are the platinum color. I was a little disappointed in their color when I first got them (I was hoping they would be clearer and not so smokey) but they have grown on me. The cable was the best investment I made to go along with them, the ergonomics with them is so much...- Wraith13

Quote: The hard case? It would fit in there with tons of room to spare. Hell, I put my hardcase away and I use a LowePro Santiago 20 camera hardcase. Holds these with the new cables and a cleaning cloth and the earwax removal tool just fine (a little more snug than it was with the...- Wraith13

1964 Ears
Quote: It was $115 with the upgraded plug and shipping. Since I saved $100 on the V6s for the Memorial Day sale, I didn't feel bad buying this. Even if I had paid full price for the CIEMs, I think it would be worth it for these cables just for the quality alone.- Wraith13

Have had my V6s for a little over a month and I still love these things. Had a bit of a fit issue a couple of weeks ago but found out it was an issue with the cable loops and not the earpiece. If you are new to CIEMs, be sure to play with the memory wire in the cable loops first before...- Wraith13

Well, I happen to have the HD650s on a Schiit stack as well and I purchased the V6s for myself. I wouldn't really want to compare the two since they are so different in how they deliver the sound to your ears but I can say that I am definitely happy with it. The V6 does about everything right...- Wraith13

1964 Ears
Quote: I agree 100% with Levanter, no one should be worried about the V6 being 'too analytical', unless by analytical you mean precise, balanced, and awesome sounding! I'm quite sure that the V6 is my endgame. They are by far the best audio 'gadget' I've ever purchased.- Wraith13

PRESS RELEASE: Sennheiser announces the MOMENTUM On-Ear headphone
Quote: Quote: Yeah, I wonder what in the world Senn is up to by only calling these supra-aural when I'm pretty sure that the original Momentums were supra-aural to virtually everyone but small children? I love the color scheme of a couple of these though. I wish Sennheiser...- Wraith13

Joe, Most of the stuff I have on my iPod is just 320kbps AAC or ALAC (though mostly AAC). I have my higher level stuff on my computer since the iPod can't play my 24bit 96kHz+ stuff from HDtracks. To tell you the truth (and I know this is blasphemy), while I can tell the difference on my...- Wraith13

Quote: Up to this point I have always used an amp with my V6 (mostly out of habit) but your question made me try out my V6s with just my iPod Classic to see how it sounds. You know what, I actually still really like the sound just straight out of my iPod. I did a little A/B test with...- Wraith13

Well that answered another question that I had about what they did with the impressions. I have no idea how the heck they would cram another two BAs into these things, I'm looking at mine and they are pretty packed. I wonder if they might just tune them different? Not that I want a bass heavy...- Wraith13
