Mr Speakers Voce Electrostatic headphone thread
I wound up picking up a BHSE and Voce from Headamp at RMAF. Looking forward to listening, I saw mention earlier discussion about tubes and things? Besides Siemens tubes, any other recommendations? Also compared to the stock tubes, what did the Siemen's bring to the table?- Wedge

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
Haven't been around here in a while, but started coming back due to some recent purchases, figured I post an update. Rig has undergone several iterations, right now looking for a new DAC, haven't made any decisions yet. Same original case as probably first posted here many years ago... but the...- Wedge

Sony Z1R....listening impressions only
So I haven't been active on the forums here for about 6 years, recently got the bug to buy a closed headphone... After building myself a new stereo listening room. Decided after reading a bunch of the forums about the MDR-Z1R, pulled the trigger. Running on a PC > Bifrost (supposed to be my PS...- Wedge

Headphones you regretted buying the most
Quote: I think I chimed in when I said I regretted buying them. I was very unimpressed by them, but there is a whole thread about how people were either impressed or unimpressed by them.- Wedge

Schiit DACs (Bifrost and Gungnir down, one to go)? The information and anticipation thread.
Listening for ones self is believing, unless you know for certain you share the same impressions of everything that the other person does, which I have not seen yet. Even when people agree on here, they seem to really be in disagreement to some extent. I like my Bifrost, I don't really feel...- Wedge

6SN7 Tube Addicts
Thats the thing about these old tubes, sometimes from tube to tube, they get to be in different stages of their lives and they don't always sound the same, but they can still test ok. The Wuss, I also have the Peak/Volcano, and I love it with the ECC32, as well as the Fivre 6SN7GT...- Wedge

Apex Peak/Volcano Review
To be honest, I find the fact that its a good preamp the best part about it, because I don't really feel like spending more money for a another preamp, and well I use it more as a preamp now then a headphone amp, which I don't listen to cans as much as speakers anyways. Personally, all the gear...- Wedge

Apex Peak/Volcano Review
To me I find the Fivre a musical, but well balanced tube. I am using a McIntosh MC252 as my amplifier, speakers are Dynaudio Focus 110. This is my Vinyl rig, source is VPI Scout 2.- Wedge

Apex Peak/Volcano Review
I've been using my Peak/Volcano as a preamp lately, and I gotta say I still like to use my Mullard ECC32. Another favorite is the Fivre 6SN7GT. Maybe I'll pop in my Badboyz and give it a shot sometime soon.- Wedge

Amp recommendations for Audeze LCD-2
I guess it depends how well he really knows the music he is listening to. Besides the fact, that we have no idea how long he's been listening to all that gear for, whether or not he has a job or any other commitments in his life (maybe hes got a lot of free time).- Wedge

What are your secret headphones?
I actually used UE 18 Pros, Grado RS-2, and AKG 701 before I got on Head-Fi, and I still have them. They aren't really a secret though, certainly not cheap, but I did spend a lot of time with them. I don't have the Grados anymore.- Wedge
