The 10 biggest lies in audio
Regarding synergy, IMHO it can liken to cooking. Flavour plus flavour, given certain combination will equal to tasty (which of course is subjective quality). I always thought that amplifiers are not necessarily neutral or completely transparant. Different circuit will give different color to...- indikator

Which plays the greatest roll in sound quality, you rank
I think what p a t r i c k want to say is that cheap doesn't equal bad, cheap source like such as ipod may already be very good, therefore the difference to more expensive one is much less compared to changes in other component- indikator

F5 for headphone?
from what I read F5 voltage gain is pretty low at 15dB, so I guess it won't be too loud for headphone, or is the extra current going to be bad with headphone? anyway I'm actually building it for my speaker, I'm considering an output switch if there are good feedbacks from people using this...- indikator

4 Boards Beta22
why not compared it yourself? it is modular right? you can build it 4 channel first, then compared it to 3 channel one (hanhan's?), any change later to add aditional board will be easy to make- indikator

Electrostats : How to start?

The Sennheiser HD-600 thread
I also had the same experience like you madmax7, I used to own HD650 and I remember it to be ok sounding but recently when I first hear HD600 it struck me like the way HD650 never did, omg the sound is so sweet with a very punchy bass, it was really enjoyable leaving me no desire to wanting more...- indikator

what made the Sony R10 special?
I do not think so, if R10 performance is not that stellar than no one will justify its price of rarity now I wonder why Sony do not re-release them at say $1000, make it 'usual' hi-fi headphone at fair price tag, I think they will sell well and profitable- indikator

one of cool thing of lambda is that it doesn't loose its magic when lifted up from ear, I bet sigma (in the same principle) does sound really good, which makes me wonder why stax discontinued them- indikator
