Sorry I didn't realise I was posting this at the Quintet review rather than the S12 Pro one you posted. Will head over to your Melody review now haha.- sunnymonk

@Redcarmoose Between P1 Max and this, which one is better in your opinion? P1 Max is going for $84.15 at Linsoul while S12 Pro is $135.20- sunnymonk

Radsone EarStudio ES100
Is anyone getting an annoying sound when there is some contact with the ES100 during operation? For example i clip it to my belt and when my shirt rubs against the unit, I can hear the rubbing sound. Or if I rub my fingers against the unit, the sound transmitted is unbearable(done as an...- sunnymonk

Massdrop x Noble X Universal IEMs Review / Preview
I just got my Noble X yesterday and it's so comfortable in my ears compared to the other IEMs I have. Sound is really smooth and overall I'm loving it. Just wished the faceplates and the body was a bit more flush though but hey I can't complain too much given the low entry price for a Noble...- sunnymonk

Sony MDR-1000X
Was in Tokyo the last week and went to Akihabara to demo all the NC headphones extensively. Bose QC35, Sennheiser PXC550, Parrot Zik 3 and the Sony MDR 1000x. Ended up with the Sony because it sounded the best to my ears and also the smart features it has over the others. Used it on the flight...- sunnymonk

TDK BA200 Thread
Quote: Thanks for the explanation Clie... Anyway Imation was nice enough to get me a replacement set and give me the extension cord as a added precaution. Had a nice and long chat with their CS Tech about the strain reliefs, flatness of the cable as well as the Y-split. They share...- sunnymonk

TDK BA200 Thread
I contacted TDK in Singapore and requested for assistance. Wasn't hoping for much since I believed they were prepared for this kind of issue when they bundled the replacement filters with the pair. However they were nice enough to order a replacement pair for me. So I'm waiting for them to...- sunnymonk

TDK BA200 Thread
Thanks! I don't suppose these will affect the sound in any way right? I assume it's more of a protection against ear wax? Though I'm surprised it came out so easily as this is my 1st time taking out the earbuds to clean them. Hope I still have the replacement filters at home.- sunnymonk

TDK BA200 Thread
Hi all... I need some help here. I've attached 2 pics that show that the filter of my right earbud has came out. Talking to TDK/Imation in Singapore is no help because they claim it's a wear and tear issue even though it's only 4 months since I got it. I'm in my office now...- sunnymonk

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I like the shadow and the white. Not sure about the blue as there seem to be very small differences with white. Maybe change the blue to red and also the VMODA on the headband to red so that it will stand out more? Gold is not a colour I like so I'll pass.- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
Quote: It's a little too expensive. Costs only SGD229. Add SGD 50 for shipping and it still beats that price. http://treoo.com/store/index.php/main/tdk-ba200-in-ear-earphone.html And look at the link carefully cos they posted the brand as Audio Technica lol.- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
I think the build quality is pretty good and the strain relief although short are very sturdy. Unless you get a lemon then I would think these can last quite a while. I'm unsure about the price you are getting from Taiwan but there don't seem to an address listed so warranty might be an issue...- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
Quote: I don't think these are available in the states yet(correct me if I'm wrong) so you might have an issue with warranty. If you are buying from Singapore stores(online or B&M) you can refer to the contact below Singapore (South Asia Head Office) Imation Singapore...- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
Guys I need some help from those who have the BA200. With regards to the chin slider when I push it up to the earphones, the cables are flushed or parallel. Yet when I push it down to the end, it becomes like this. I seem to recall that it was flushed or parallel as well when I...- sunnymonk

USB Amp/DAC Recommendation
Just got my E17 and it's really a noticeable difference. Same source but the vocals are more forward and entire soundstage is deeper and wider. Using my VMODA M80 with the onboard soundcard, music seem to be veiled but E17 certainly cleared things up.- sunnymonk

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
This is my first ever Amp/DAC (thanks to Headfi and sorry to my wallet) and it arrived yesterday together with the L3 LOD. Using it with the TDK BA200, I was very surprised by the quality. Previously when I demoed the Ibasso D-0, all I noticed was a louder sound but nothing else. With the E17...- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
Quote: Their pricing is 229 SGD + 58 (56.9*1.02 http://treoo.com/store/shipping-fees-policy) so that comes up to 222 USD. I just received the set from them and to me they sound really smooth and lush with very good soundstage. I'm still relatively new to IEMs as I'm more of a...- sunnymonk

REVIEW | TDK BA200 | 'BACK TO BLACK'
Treoo.com sells it as well. They do ship worldwide and service is fantastic. I'm getting BA200 from them (ETA 1-2 days) as my previous order for the GR07 fell through due to some issues.- sunnymonk

USB Amp/DAC Recommendation
Thanks for all the tips. E17 is still out of stock in Singapore but price wise I guess I can stretch out the budget to cover it. The only issue is no demo or return policy from local stores. The other day, I demoed the ibasso with a ATH M50 (10 mins) and it really could drive the cans...- sunnymonk
