Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4
After a few days of listenning to my UHA4 with Aud 5x, I found the sound to be projected a little further in front of me instead of a very in the face sound, the sound is "tamed" for the lack of a better word. Bass also seems to do a little better now. Portable amps are still very limited in...- silverkaze

Leckerton Audio Slimline UHA-4
Missed the delivery, I went to get it today from the post office. Listening to my aud 5x thru the UHA4 as I am typing this, I can't tell a difference in sound quality between this and straight from my iphone, only thing I could sense right now is a little tiny bit fuller, more impactful bass...- silverkaze

Custom IEM fitment...
I'd recommend you not putting anything in your ears for two weeks, and then go to an audiolodist to clean up your ears, then find someone who has experience in doing ear impressions, and follow the correct procedures to take the mold. It doesn't sound like there is a problem with the iem company...- silverkaze

ER4S highs + TF-10 bass = which custom IEM
read average_joe's multi custom posts, there's a custom called thousand sound and it has a er4 sound with an enhanced bass and is around your price range. But personally I find my aud 5x really good, they outperform my sm3s and at <$600 they are also a great value.- silverkaze

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
I had a pair of KSC75 in the past and they are like one of those not so serious but fun sounding clip ons. There's no comparison between them and the Aud 5X, Aud 5X does everything better and they are not on the same technical level as also price suggests. For example, The clarity and...- silverkaze

Comparing the looks of our monitors I did notice that mine have significantly shorter nozzles than yours, you are probably right, the impressions weren't made as deep as they are supposed to.- silverkaze

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
After listening to them for 2 days, I actually don't find the fit to be too bad now, it is my first ciem and I never had experience with them in the past. The sound is indeed very good, clarity and transparency surpasses SM3s, bass quantity is not thunderous, but there's a lot details in the...- silverkaze

Actually lubracating helps a lot with the fit, and the bass has is a lot better felt. But this gets a little troublesome everytime I put them in my ears- silverkaze

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
I couldn't find the same test, I found a similar bass frequency test for sm3 and aud-5x, I can hear up to 30hz on the sm3 and 60hz on the aud-5x, I tried pushing my aud-5x in my ears and holding it in that position while hearing the test, I couldn't hear anything below 60, where on my sm3s, I...- silverkaze

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
After playing with the aud-5x for several hours, I do seem to get a better fit with them now. I am listening them straight out of my macbook air, iphone4, and sansa clip. They sound very good, but I am not sure if I am feeling the power of the three bass drivers. For example, both of sm3s and...- silverkaze

Dream Earz aud-5X Custom IEM Review: Pure Value @ $565 - Also the appreciation thread!
I just got my aud 5x 20 minutes ago, after a quick comparison with my sm3s, the sm3s give me more bass with the stock grey tips, Joe, do you find this to be true? I am afraid that I might have a fit problem.- silverkaze
