Hi! I tie a turban that cover my ears. Can you recommend a good pair of COMPACT in-ears that wouldn't push against my ear?
The 846 fit well, i never ran them straight, had the ear loops on before i tied. I found the comet a bit more comfortable and easier to run straight. For over ears, i have the LCD2c that I enjoy atm, I had no issues with the HD800 or the T1's but admittedly I don't tie a Dumala, more a delhi...- notsimar

Hi! I tie a turban that cover my ears. Can you recommend a good pair of COMPACT in-ears that wouldn't push against my ear?
My thoughts to share as I wear a turban as well, I made do with putting my se846's in before tying my turban a couple of years ago. I didn't have any such luck with the iSine20's, but CA comet's were great for wearing under the turban without creating any pressure on the ear. I didn't like the...- notsimar

Is the DAP dead?????
A real life example of a user story that dap makers are failing to address. I too end up using my dap at home almost exclusively as I have no desire to carry another cumbersome device. I'd be more likely to carry a tablet that lets me consume audio and video than a dap.- notsimar

Is the DAP dead?????
I suspect as CES2020 starts up, the days of simple daps are going limited. I suspect daps will have to adapt to a changing consumer, I personally would like the dap vendors to explore the small tablet form factor to offer a more interesting media consumption device, surf, video, audio, and...- notsimar

Guess I should add to the list of Gungnir/Ragnarok/LS50 users. I use them for nearfield, constantly switching between medium and high gain.- notsimar

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
Anyone else driving these with a Schiit Valhalla2? I tried them off the Raggy and the V2 and they sound pretty decent from the V2 on low gain (volume at 10 o'clock). On medium gain on the Rag the really are special but the raggy makes a lot of heat so I tend to run the V2 more often.- notsimar

Focal Clear headphones
I think this realignment of the wall of fame sends a Clear message (pun intended) to manufacturers. Seeing the new benchmark for TOTL headphones rise to 4k+ yet not delivering a total package is weak. While I didn't always agree with Tyll's preferences, he is evolving as a reviewer, as we all...- notsimar

Focal Clear headphones
Tyll’s review sums up nicely the comparison between the utopia and the clear for me. People who love the Utopia are lucky, I found it fatiguing but the Clear rarely come off my head unless I don’t have a choice- notsimar

Audeze LCD-2C Classic - Impressions Thread
The Utopia is a bright headphone to me, its fatiguing for me after a while. But some folks might like that sound (looking at @Savage4) If I was looking for a critical listening headphone I would rather use the HD800 without any mods. But for a headphone to listen to pop/movies I think the...- notsimar

Looking to spend $1500-$2000 on a headphone setup.
You could go the IEM route and get yourself CA Andromeda and a AK 70 mk2. Gives you a dac you can plug in and IEM’s that sound great, and a DAP when you want to get away.- notsimar

Am I glad I bought the Clear, yes. Do I think the Elex are a great value, hell yes! Massdrop is doing some good things and its showing, sadly I do think this will ebb the sales of the Clear but maybe its a good thing.- notsimar

Focal Clear headphones
This is exactly how I felt after the initial listen. I was listening to Jan Garbarek and his collab with Ustad Fateh Ali Khan and the tabla was very refined on the clear and slightly muted on the Utopia. The Sax was very in my face on the Utopia but the Clear found the right balance for me.- notsimar

Focal Clear headphones
I had a chance to audition the Utopia and the Clear today. To be honest I really preferred the Clear to the Utopia. My initial impression was that the bass was nicer on the Clear while the Sax was mind blowing on the Utopia. Overall the Clear felt like a better balanced headphone to my ears...- notsimar
