Streaming Hawaiian
I'm looking for additional sources of Hawaiian music. I am streaming from Qobuz and they have a nice selection and I'd like to expand my sources. Any recommendations?- mikemalter

I'm running a W4S DAC 1 with balanced and RCA outs. I can't hear any difference between the two. However, I do run balanced because of common mode rejection.- mikemalter

What's your computer audio set up?
I'm using a Macbook Pro as my music server. My music server apps are Audirvana and Qobuz. Using a Synology DS1515+ for storage (not shown). I going into a W4S Remedy and then into a W4S uLink with a coax out to my W4S DAC. I'm using a Granite Audio preamp for my WA22 and a Clearaudio...- mikemalter

Not sure about the WA2. Here is a picture of work that 2359glenn | studio did for me years ago. I really liked the results.- mikemalter

Quote: If you are using the W4S DAC2 via USB, how come you are not using their drivers? They put the computer into slave mode to the DAC and reduces a lot of jitter. Music through their drivers always sounded better than everything else.- mikemalter

Quote: I have a preference for the HD800 headphone. From my perspective and tastes I find that they go down as deep as you can go while at the same time remain delicate to transmit detail and nuance. I find them netural sounding and fast. Just my 2 cents. Also, think about a...- mikemalter

Does anyone own the Wyred4sound DAC 2?
Quote: If you are around 100 hours, the most changes occurr between 100 and 200 hours. The DAC will start sounding good and then will suck, it will go all over the map to a loss of bass and will then get shrill on top and move all over the map. Then after 200 it will start to smooth out...- mikemalter

Quote: If you want to buy it, sure. It needs a turntable/motor belt. I loved that turntable and the only reason I replaced it was because of the Clearaudio Solution turntable review I did which introduced me to Clearaudio's turntable line. Let's PM about the details and we'll get you...- mikemalter
