The sennheiser new cx models
Hey guys I watch curious if there is any headphones in the $50 range or higher that is recommended for me. I was looking at the new cx model from sennheiser but they're not out yet. Should I wait or look for something else. I recent bought the ath cks55 which I thought was ok. It sounded a bit...- sky777

Need a comparison of ATH-CKS55 vs ATH-CKS77
I like bass but for some reason the cks55 sound so muddy. Bass is way to over powered. I wanted something that sounded a bit more open like the apple earbuds. If the the treble and mids were more foward and clearer the cks55 woulf of been so much better. For now I am a bit dissapointed- sky777

V Moda Crossfade LP2 vs. SOL Republic Master Tracks XC vs. Sennheiser Momentum
I cant talk about the other headphones but the sol republic tracks are nice. Has a very punchy bass. Mids and highs are ok. I usually equalize the mids and highs to be a bit higher. The reason I got the master tracks was because of the discount and the style. If you can get the senheiser...- sky777

JVC's Micro HD Line: HA-FXD80/70/60
You know what the cable seems a bit flimsy and there is no mic control but i am gonna go ahead and try them. edit: Received the cks55 and as of now the mids and highs sound pretty recessed. I might need burn them in some more. What I find interesting is that the new apple earbuds sounds...- sky777

JVC's Micro HD Line: HA-FXD80/70/60
@ thickT Crap I am one of the most indecisive person ever. Hey thickT, i was wondering if you ever tried the ath cks55. They look nice and are said to have a lot of bass. Both the xb50 and the cks55 are at the price of 40. To me it comes down to these two. Like I said above I like a lot of...- sky777

JVC's Micro HD Line: HA-FXD80/70/60
Thx for the help but how good is the bass. I like a lot a bass can sacrifice a little in the high frequency. I feel like its easier to equalize the high end rather than the low end. Dang since they only sell the fkd lines in japan it takes 2-3 weeks. Such a long wait- sky777

JVC's Micro HD Line: HA-FXD80/70/60
Can anyone help me out? I'm debating on getting the sony mdr xb50 or the ha fxd70 or 60. So far I like the sound signature of the mdr xb700. Took out the fabric from the xb700 and they seem to open up a bit. Also with the xb700 I have the high end frequency 8-16k on the equalizer set to +6 db...- sky777

Sol republic master tracks?
If you compare it to other hifi headphone it is terrible but you got to remember these headphones are made for the average consumer who likes bass and ok mids and highs. Like the guy above I don't think the average consumer will care. I personally bought them for the style. I Wear them mostly...- sky777

Looking for IEMs for Bassheads
Yea the size of the driver usually does give you more bass but not always. It depends on many factors one such as the housing of the driver. With a bad enclosure the bass will sound terrible. Think im gonna stick to buying the xb50 but gonna wait a bit to see if the price will go down to 30...- sky777

Sol republic master tracks?
Compared to the xb700 I have I think the master tracks is more tamed. Less sub bass but more mid bass. For the mid and highs I don't think they are recessed at all. They just sound flat. BTW lazyboy420x the review you have is for the hd not the master tracks different headphone. The hd on the...- sky777

Sony MDR-XB50: All of your basses...all of them.
Hey thx for referring me to this thread. I notice in the picture that the iem seem to have an air port on the top. Does this make the iem sound open? I like the semi open sound the xb700 has. Soundstage is so much better with open headphones.- sky777

@ theiemguy Same thing happen to my pair. The right ear cup start to break down after almost a year. Luckily the warranty still covered it and I got a new pair without even having to send in the defective one which was convenient.- sky777

On the market for a pair of earphone and can't decide between these iems
So here are my choices. The new sony mdr xb50. soundmagic e10, phiaton ps 20, klipsch image s4, ultimate ears 600 vi, ultimate ears 500, or the audio technica ath cks55. My sound preference would be a lot of sub bass while still being clear. Mids can be recessed a bit. Also I would like...- sky777
