Looking for IEMs for Bassheads

Surprised no one mentioned the VSonic Gr02 Bass ed (unless I missed it). My favourite IEM's so far, they get more time than any of my other sets which include the XB90's (which go beautifully low but could have more punch).

If you are interested in cans, The UE6000 are pretty bass happy when on, comfy and cheap. Not audiophile, but fun.

I'll second the UE6000, but watch for quality issues. I read about lots of problems with the n/c switch, and 6 months after buying them....mine died. In the process of redeeming my warranty.

Ok I lied to myself and got ath cks55 instead of the xb50. So far a lot of bass mids and highs seem recessed. Doesnt sound only like the apple earbuds

I on the other hand do not recommend the wooduo2. I bought some as an upgrade to my $25 Pistons, and the pistons sounded better. I listen to hip hop and some other bass demanding stuff. The wooduo just sounded flat in the mids and highs. No airyness or soundstage. Bass hits deep but the sound just didn't have that energy.

Don't scoff at driver size. These things punch and have plenty of rumble.

Man....I really want to get my ears on a pair of those eventually. Really like that style of in-ear and already have the KZ Micro Ring and JVC FRD60 which are similar.

As an update to this thread, the Sony AS800AP is another great basshead iem. I'm pretty sure it uses the same driver as the XB50 (or maybe the XB70 now that I think of it), but is tweaked to correct the recessed treble and mids. Their only real downfall is how they look....one of Sony's worse designs that I can recall.

I consider the xb50's better looking than the 50/50's and probably better sounding as well if more bass is desired

Only real problem with the XB50s is they run into pretty bad distortion when the bass digs really deep, or volume is pushed a little too high. That said they're still pretty decent, but the AS800AP stomp all over them. The 800s are badass.

Edit: The SUR s808 is another awesome, inexpensive, basshead option. They require some eq to tone down the intense midbass, but when you do watch out.
