HeAudio Jade and HE1.2/1.3: how many are using them and are you happy with them so far?
Glad I stumbled across this thread. I went to a meet recently where there was both the O2, K1000 and Jade. They all sounded exceptional but I was the only person who thought the Jade was the best of the lot (by a fair bit too). With everybody talking about how great the K1000 and O2 were, I...- peepee-king

Melbourne head-fi 2nd meet 2010
I'm not sure if it's too late already but decayed.cell and I may also like to attend this. I can bring my DV337 and DX1000 while he could probably provide his M3 and HD580. Not much, but I suppose it'll be of interest to some.- peepee-king

Symphones Magnum upgrade for Grado SR325 and Alessandro MS2
Gold...? There's no way they look gold. They struck me as SR325is the moment I saw them. On the gold SR325i the lettering on the 'L', 'R' and cup text is also gold, this is clearly silver. The rods do look different though. Quote: Originally Posted by SemiAudiophile these...- peepee-king

I'm pretty sure it rotates to such an extreme level only because its a non 'i' MS2. Looking at the MS2i/325is below, you'll see that the extruded cups eventually block the maximum rotation angle of the gimble.- peepee-king

Audio-Technica ATH-ON3 @ Focalprice, genuine?
Alright guys, I just bought a pair off eBay with no packaging.... except everything is exactly the same as the real pair shown in this thread, opened them up to check. The adjustments move up and down with the bumpy grooves.. they don't slide. Did I get lucky? Spent $17AUD on them.- peepee-king

Beyerdynamic Headbands
Are all Beyerdynamic headbands (the whole plastic piece + cushioning pad) the same size? I prefer the look of the black pro headbands and I was wondering if I could put it onto a DT880 2003.- peepee-king

Beyerdynamic DT 150/109 sonic difference?
The DT 109 looks like a DT 150 with a microphone attached to it, does anybody know the difference between the headphones part of them? There's also a DT 190 which has the same headband as the DT 150, quite confused.- peepee-king

Can anybody confirm if this is the whole plastic headband for the Sony model? If so, that's all you should need for the mod... Sadly, I have a bad feeling you need some of the other parts too.- peepee-king

I've found out that it's the exact same headband found on the SONY MDR V500DJ headphones. If somebody wants to give this mod a go, I'll put up some instructions.- peepee-king

Is there a way to make Grados more comfortable?
I use the Grado comfy pads even though I know the bowls sound better. The comfys do bring out more of the lower end though. I also changed the headband to a self-adjusting set, but it's not a mod everybody can do unfortunately.- peepee-king

A not so ghetto Grado mod (;
I was messing around with one of my brothers spare headsets, an el cheapo Power Wave thing. Horrible headphones, but they have a half decent self adjusting headband. After taking the thing apart I found that the Grado SR80i housing could be fit into the headband seamlessly. No mods to the Grado...- peepee-king

The Audio-gd Compass (Was: Designing an alternative to the Zero DAC/amp)
If the locking mechanism is removed (I've seen this done before, along with the plate being on the other side), do the jacks still plug in correctly? What I mean is; do they still plug in and out with the same amount of resistance other plugs typically have? BTW It's not that it's...- peepee-king

The Audio-gd Compass (Was: Designing an alternative to the Zero DAC/amp)
I've already emailed Kingwa, he wanted to get Currawongs opinion on the matter first. I also suggested keeping the Neutrik plug but changing it to the all black version, unfortunately he doesn't have access to these.- peepee-king

Alright, first of all I know I'm 2-3 weeks late. I haven't read the whole thread so I've missed plenty but I've been informed about the progress of the project by a friend of mine. Getting down to the crunch, I'm going to post an alternative aesthetic appearance. I'm aware this has been...- peepee-king
