I can't imagine someone would sell his Wraith. In my case, I have sold almost all of my earbuds since I heard the Wraith. It's one of the best things that happened to me here in headfi. Has anyone discovered yet which of the newer Blurs is a direct upgrade of it with the same tuning...- jrazmar

The Wraith is simply awesome!!! I like that it is warm enough without being muffled or muddy yet still sufficiently detailed for what matters to my ears. I fully agree that it's timbre is it's crowning glory. Never heard something this full sounding and very life-like. The bass and vocals on...- jrazmar

Thanks @Ronion. Though bass is important, vocals is still on top of my priorities when it comes to music and I like it to be on the sweet side but not to the point of being shouty. Maybe natural enough to sound human-like and less digital. Definitely, not distant. The MX64 that I have conveys...- jrazmar

I'm having second thoughts with the PK32 since it may have too much bass which may compromise transparency and might make the overall sound "muddy" compared to the MX64 or the Wraith. Not that I mean real muddy but maybe less resolved or too dark compared to the other 2. I'm not good with words...- jrazmar

Listening to Shozy BK, I told myself, "This is the warmness I am looking for." Very good bass presence and impact, super smooth and yummy midrange and sweet, natural vocals. The downside for me is the soundstage which is not wide maybe has enough depth but pretty intimate which may come limited...- jrazmar

I have a 266 MX64 and had booked an order for the Wraith. However, I'm curious if the PK32 New Line would be the better choice. The 266 MX64, although very transparent, clear and open sounding, lacks some oomph/slam on the bass area specially for movies and music genres that need it. Not saying...- jrazmar

You can make a guess. I thought it's too obvious already. ☺️ Hint: It's secondhand. My 266 MX64 sings wonderfully with the Ovidius B1. I can listen to this combo all day long.- jrazmar

Actually I'm not sure if my unit is an STE and upon consultation with Woody before whom I contacted for it, he said it's called Blur 266 MX64 aPs 64Ω (Special Warm Tuning). Below are the exact words I got from him when he helped me on some of my queries. Blur 266 MX64 aPs 64Ω (Special Warm...- jrazmar

I'm so excited to hear your impressions of the 189 Hybrid and probably compare it with the 266 MX64 STE that you have. I'm particularly interested about the vocal quality and realism as well as soundstaging and sub-bass presence.- jrazmar

Sorry guys but did I miss anything? Why is @WoodyLuvr suddenly leaving? What happened? I cannot imagine this thread or the other earbuds thread without him. Thanks for sharing. Maybe I could only perceive such difference if I would have the chance to hear the OFC version for myself. Besides, I wouldn't know if no one here has told. What's important is I'm happy with the 266 performance...for now. Perhaps the 266R could have both qualities combined...- jrazmar

@WoodyLuvr, Is it true to all builds regarding OFC vs 266 cable versions with the former having the wider soundstage? Or is it specific only for the Wraith variant? The 266 MX64 that I have has the widest, most proper soundstage of all the earbuds that I heard so far.- jrazmar

thanks @ian91. No worries. As to the sound signature chart, Woody was so kind to pin the 266 MX64 on the chart for my own reference. Now I'm curious how the 189 or the future 266R will sound. Time to save for it. :)- jrazmar

Is your MX64 the standard or STE? 266 or OFC? I have the 266 STE version which is a little warmer than the standard version according to Woody. I share the same impression as yours but at first I did not like it because of the lack of bass impact and presence. It is there but non-prevalent...- jrazmar
