No I´ve never heard Isabellae, but I´ve read all I could about it since from the reviews / opinions it seemed to match the sound I was looking for, especially Rockwell75´s review:

Pros: Inspired, open, engaging tuning
Impeccably balanced and even keeled across the FR
No weird peaks or dips
Rich natural timbre
Single DD magic
Seductively coherent
Clear, open, midrange
Nuanced, well extended commanding yet highly disciplined bass
Nice mid-bass presence
Upper mids forward and present with zero shoutiness
Emotionally expressive & evocative vocals
Decently technical
Intimate staging
Downward sloping, sufficiently airy, non peaky, non-fatiguing highs
Shoots well above price tier

I know you also like the Isa from the Geek Wold thread so reading your opinion on the Blur MX64 STE made my heart beat faster.

I've actually spoken to @Rockwell75 in the past about Blur earbuds because of our love of Isabellae and how I feel they both share the same DNA.

I would say you would be very happy with the OFC MX64 STE aPs if you want something similar to the Isabellae. Tonally it's more forward and less warm than the Yincrow X6, and what I refer to as room temperature. The MX64 STE is closer to the Isabellae than it is to the X6. If you're looking for the Yincrow X6 in a Blur package (and not so much the Isabellae) then the OFC PK150 Wraith is the closest to that. It is less veiled, has better technicalities (soundstage and imaging) and has better timbre and a fuller midbass. The caveat with the Wraith is that I think you need a good source/dongle to make it sing.

What music do you enjoy listening to?

Thanks for your reply, I literally listen to everything from classical to metal, but the bulk of my listening is rock, dance and pop, I value a natural timbre, organic and clear mids and good bass impact. The PK type shells are a better fit for my ears and I´m also curious about the 266 PK32 New Line and how it compares to the OFC MX64 STE (Ronion do you still think the MX64 is the one to have if you can only have one?) then there´s the new "Reference Sound" models coming out in November / December (as WoodyLuvr mentioned some pages back) I must admit I´m a little overwhelmed now so more reading is in order but I´ll probably narrow it down to the two models previously mentioned and wait to the end of the year / or opinions on the new models.

I really appreciate the help, enthusiasm and positivity found in this thread.

It sounds to me as though either the 266 PK32 New Line or the OFC PK150 Wraith Standard Edition (source/power permitting) will be on the money for you. Interested to hear what @Ronion thinks regarding New Line vs OFC MX64 STE though! I have always found metal hard to pull off on IEMs and to a degree buds too. I need a warmer tuning to avoid fatigue and well controlled treble that isn't splashy. The Wraith does metal I listen to (RATM, Tool) very well.

Not a bad idea waiting for more perspective, the 266R Blur Reference is a unknown quantity at the moment. I should have a Blur 189 Hybird MX64 at some point to shed more light on that tuning - from what I've been told it's a vocal specialist with tight bass.

In truth, for what you listen to, I’d go with the Wraith or PK32. The PK32 has crazy good timbre. Crazy good. If you, like me, primarily listened to orchestra or chamber music, I’d go with the MX64. I tend to prefer a warmer tuning with Metal as well just because recording quality can be all over the map and perhaps terrible is certain sub genres. Of course some sub genres are dark and muddy…. If you have an amp, the Wraith is probably your ticket. The unknown is the developing Reference. My guess is it will come with a reference price tag, but if you wouldn’t need or want anything else than it would be worth it.

I am a fan of the Isabellae. Where can I buy a pair of these OFC MX64 STE aPs?

@WoodyLuvr, Is it true to all builds regarding OFC vs 266 cable versions with the former having the wider soundstage? Or is it specific only for the Wraith variant? The 266 MX64 that I have has the widest, most proper soundstage of all the earbuds that I heard so far.

It's something I've heard apply to my OFC MX64 STE and my 266 MX64 STE. I documented my thoughts in a post here. The difference is subtle but it's something that I felt confident enough to post about at the time. I believe it would apply to most models.

Thanks for sharing. Maybe I could only perceive such difference if I would have the chance to hear the OFC version for myself. Besides, I wouldn't know if no one here has told. What's important is I'm happy with the 266 performance...for now. Perhaps the 266R could have both qualities combined. That would be bliss.

These differences I've referred to in that post are very subtle, I wouldn't worry. You're not missing out by not having tried the OFC version.
